Today is the day.

After 11 memorable years, it is time to say goodbye to my home.

I'm so scared and worried.. I'm losing my safety net.
I know it's the right thing to do right now and i thank you all for all the brilliant advice and encouragement you gave me when I needed it about the move.

It doesn't stop me shaking with fear and the sleepless nights.. I'm in bits tbh, however I know we will be ok.

My poor daughter has problems with change and gets support from the senco at school, so I've had to be strong for her, but everytime she cries it's so hard to keep my chin up.

Anyway, I move today.  Not sure when I'll next be back could be soon or not.

See you all later xxxx:-x

Re: Today is the day.

Very good luck in your move....you have obviously made that decision because you know it is the right thing to do.

I have moved many times when married to a soldier and always had butterflies. Once settled in you can sit down, have a cup of tea and look forward to the rest of your life knowing that you have made the right decision for you and your family.

Hope you are back here soon. You have obviously made many friends here who are all supporting you.

All the best for today streety, hoping that things go smoothly for you, I'm sure your wee daughter will be just fine once she's had some time to get used to the change.

You have your memories - now is the time to make new ones!

I find change painful too so completely empathise with your daughter and you, but I think you will find a sense of release in a few days once you have had chance to settle.

If I was nearby I'd be bringing you bread and salt 😄   I hope sending it mentally is as good!

It's always with mixed feelings and emotions that we move, but you'll always have your happy memories from your old home and now the door will open to lots of new happy memories in your new home 😄

Hope you're back with us soon, I shall be thinking of you, but I know you'll be just fine :-x

hope I'm not too late to add my pennyworth...good luck Streety, you'll be fine, you won't have much time to worry too much when you get to your new home, unpacking and finding space for everything will take up too much of your time!! but it's a new chapter and you'll settle fine I'm sure.
