Thursdays, tempting, tantalising table d'hote.

Homemade cottage pie, with various veggies, followed by homemade rice pudding, (lots of milk to use up).

I know I know bit early, but I forgot yesterday (thank you CB by the way) feeling better today, bit of womens trouble unfortunately yesterday.

I am thinking soup today as I have some roast left and need to use it up, also some veggies. And could make some homemade rolls to go with. 🙂 Still early yet.

Re: Thursdays, tempting, tantalising table d'hote.

I did a "Nigel Slater" and looked in the fridge which looked woefully bare until I shop tomorrow.

With some leeks, blue cheese and a few pancetta decided to roll the leeks in pancetta, cut up a red pepper, and make a cheese sauce to go over it all. I'll cook it later... Have a great urge for roasties to go with it which is a bit naughty but hey ho!

Changed my mind....... instead of rolls, I made soda bread to go with the soup. 🙂

Oh that does sound really yummy. the Ala Nigel dish. I just love watching his programs on the telly. It is amazing how simple he makes it all seem and not many ingredients either!!!
