Seeing as some of you have really taken Tweet the Budgie to your hearts, I thought he should have his own special fan club thread where you can post your good wishes for his Xray on Wednesday or anything else you want to write. So far his fan club consists of Rose; Capn B; Sam; Chris.

With anything you pick wild you should always wash it & try not to pick anything from the roadside. Very rude of me I'm sorry I stupidly thought everyone knew what Chickweed was, usually grows in grassland low lying clumps tiny little green leafs & when in flower tiny little insignificant white flowers.

Hi Sam - I'm not too bad thanks, being very careful re. the hernia, doesn't take much to set it off. Hope you are ok? As for Mr Tweet he is loking a bit tatty round his chest, lots more feathers in the cage which I think is normal moulting combined with his problem, poor little birdy. He's still happy, which is the main thing. He must be feeling a bit peevish though because he bit me when I was cleaning his cage out. xx

I'm fine thanks Carol, busy at work not quite sure what day or time it is at the moment too many call outs at strange hours.LOL.

Yes, Sam, it IS where the swear words come from, cos he hurts when he digs his sharp beak in, he does it a few times! And if I aren't watching him and he does it he makes me jump - then come the words........

Glad that Tweet is himself today despite the loss of feathers.  Hopes that Carol's thunderstorm doesn't last too long.  I also hope that Tweet isn't frightened by the thunder and lightning.

No, thunder and lightning has no effect on little Mr Tweet, Chris, although the dogs are scared of it. It didnt last long, but its still pouring down. Tweet is talking away in his cage with his Yorkshire accent, saying things like "Cum 'ere" He had a few naughty words this morning. xx

Nothing seems to bother him much does it?  I feel heartily sorry for animals who are bothered by thunderstorms and fireworks.

He even loves it when the vacuum cleaner is next to his cage, the noise makes him nod his head very fast and he sings along to the noise.

We used to have a dog who would sit in front of the washing machine and his head would move in time with the spin cycle of the washing machine.
