Seeing as some of you have really taken Tweet the Budgie to your hearts, I thought he should have his own special fan club thread where you can post your good wishes for his Xray on Wednesday or anything else you want to write. So far his fan club consists of Rose; Capn B; Sam; Chris.

Good Morning Tweet & Mum, how are you both this morning, have you got that Hernia sorted yet?.
I'm sure you could find another cage fairly cheaply (pardon the pun. lol.) there is very often some advertised in the local papers.

Will get the hernia looked at soon. Tweet is very happy again today. As for a cage, I've got a spare one in the loft! Also got one suitable for zebra finches. (Both from a car boot)  Not as many feathers in the cage now, so he must have been moulting as well. He's got a little spiky head where his new feathers are coming through, looks so comical. xxxx

I'm pleased to say the hernia has eased off today (BUT it will be back!) At the moment, its been replaced by toothache (same tooth)!! Don't know why I cant have an ache-free day, once in a while, LOL

Rose  - you made me laugh when you said Tweet had a new hairdo

He's hanging onto the new feathers on his chest, still patchy, but at least not as bare, so here's hoping. Anyway - he does not like Apple! I bought one specially and I've had to eat the horrible thing (you'll guess I don't like Apples either, ha,ha) So that's Apple, Banana, Peas and Dandelion leaves he doesn't like. Still on the lookout for some Chickweed or Groundsel. Tweet hopes you all have a lovely weekend and loves his fan club and how you ask after him.

carol, just a couple of questions about your budgie. Does it have an iodine block in its cage ? Budgies need iodine because of a thyroid problem.  Does your budgie have a little dish of grit ? Budgies need grit to help digest the seed, the eat the grit and use it to grind the seed so they get the full benefit. Does he have a mirror ? Sometimes a mirror tricks them into thinking there is another bird in the cage and they start talking and trying to feed what they think is another bird, just like the male budgie does to the female when courting.

Dark-Castle - Yes, Tweet has all of those; I've noticed he is eating more grit recently. He likes his mirrors. He's got Cuttlefish too, but doesnt bother with that.

CB- He loves lettuce, if you give them Iceberg it makes their droppings soft! He just has ordinary lettuce; he loves hard-boiled egg, cucumber, not keen on tomato. But yes, he's as fussy an eater as I am, LOL

Going to take all his toys out now and give the cage its weekly scrub! Stopped using anything other than hot water, in case he had an allergy to what I was using before.

Ohhhh LOL,,,at least i made you laugh lovely Carol. Hes a Fuss Puss little Tweet!!!!

Hope you both have a good day,,,im getting lunch in aminuite and might have a bit of shuteye this afternoon. Your not the only one Carol i feel ok one day and then terrible the next. I feel a tiny bit yukky,,but im ok LOL.

Hi Chris - yes, feeling better today thanks; hope you are ok. Tweet isnt as happy today, he loves the sunshine and we haven't had any at all. In fact it's quite dark now. xx

I'm not so bad thanks Carol.  I'm sorry that Tweet is not has not been feeling well today.  This weather has a lot to answer for.  It's not dark here yet but it's cold.

Hi Sam, got a few hernia twinges, I obviously spoke to soon earlier on, that'll teach me Hope you are ok? Mr Tweet isnt swearing today. At least he has had some of his salad and is busy preening himself. Hope the sun comes out tomorrow for him. xx
