I have picked one lovely cucumber but all the other baby ones are going yellow & dropping off. Any idea why?

Don't know Maggie.
We've had some broad beans and potatoes but the main lot are still to come. I know they're nicer when they're small but I'm a cheapskate and want quantity not quality.lol
The strawberries are all gone though.

My strawberries are really looking good...
but how can I stop Robi ( dog ) eating them?
He seems to sniff them out - every year is the same - one minute they're there, the next - phoof !

Our strawbs were in a raised bed mercs, plus they were netted to keep the birds off. He's got little plant pots down on the ground with runners going into them. I expect he 'cuts the umbilical cord' when they're big enough! lol

Went out to water my plants early this morning , peas are begining to fill up now last week they looked like mang tout
Beetroot is looking good & i have small cauliflowers apearing at last , brocoli & strawberries are growing faster than we can eat them
Green house tomatoes are still very green though .
Flower baskets & tubs are beautiful except the one on the front its got a dead plant in it that needs replacing when i can get the steps out .
My stawberries are also in a raised bed covered with netting but the snails stuill get in

I don't know how to put pictures on any more but here are the beans that are ready to pick, and all these potatoes were out of one box. There are quite a few boxes to go yet,

Don't know what the problem is with your cucumbers Maggie. None of our cucumbers are in flower yet. There's a lot of people round here having problems with cucumbers. We've got a load of courgettes and we've actually eaten some. We had ham salad for tea tonight and I had the first of the tomatoes which was absolutely delicious. We've also have a few more tomatoes ripening at the moment.

Because I don't know how to do it Maggie. You know what I'm like!!!

maggie.. not sure if had an answer yet.. overwatering can make cucumbers go yellow and droopy

I think that was it Chez. I am just watering from the bottom now & have two more cues on their way now.I have a tomato too!

I've frozen loads of cauli ( some as cauli cheese), made bubble and squeak with home grown cabbage and frozen that, have got courgettes everywhere.. made veggie lasagne with courgette, pepper mushrooms and aubergine... might have to try a cake recipe..
have spinach ready..Think a quiche is called for there..
Think the strawberries are just about finished and the sweetcorn is doing well so far.. My peas have gone mad.. nearly as tall as the runner beans!
My main bugbear is the cabbage white. very pretty but causing devastation!

Our strawberries are finished, just about. I've picked half the broad beans, the peas are still fattening up. The potatoes are delicious and there are sooooo many of them, we're eating them every day. The yucca has gone mad this year, it must be the dry weather because it hasn't had any water for weeks!

Im sharing my cauliflowers with the cabbage white i'd glady give them one if they'd leave the rest for me catmad:
Strawberries are now done , peas nice & fat , salad growing as fast as we can eat it ..yumm
