Having what I should have had last night...chicken jalfrezi and my son is having home made shepherds pie. I do love to be able to feed us on home made food rather than ready meals (ready meals normally on a Friday)
For a change we are going to have pudding.....plum and apple pie with custard/ice cream.

How do you make gravy from sausages please?
We will have our usual Tuesday meal of chicken, potatoes, veg, Yorkies and gravy. Rhubarb and apple crumble and custard for him.

Well there I was doing spicy pork chops with onion and apple in gravy, potatoes to be decided and veg when daughter had a crisis. So pork chops casseroling nicely whilst I try and defuse situation and fail. So when chops have cooked slowly I stick oven chips in and tell son to sort his n OH some veg out and leave to sit in traffic jam!!!!!!!!!! Finally ate my chop and a bit of bread and gravy about 8 o'clock. Never mind left over juice is going with some chicken on Thursday - umm probably!. Son is cooking beef stew tomorrow. I will be cleaning the kitchen and every pot, pan, plate and utensil i possess sometime tomorrow evening.

Oh and my OH loves shopping too. Leave him to shop for tea and it'll be umpteen packs of choccy biccies, cakes and malt loaf. Unless he goes to Lidl when it is all the above + the odd screws, nuts, bolts, washers, hanging brackets, lights, screwdrivers, paintbrushes, books .....................................................
Needless to say i try to avoid letting him near Lidl except under supervision and his wallet confiscated.

i would never ask mine to go shopping, the few times i have he comes back with a hundred totally unrelated things. If i ask him to pop in somewhere to bring back a certain thing, the weirdest phenomenon happens, they just happen to always have - buy [whatever i have asked for] and you get a free cake, a great big one, always, every time
i shop online
