THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Gosh, what a lot of posts!  Sorry for any that I forget inbetween, I still have severe baby brain :_|

Merlin, I saw Kirstys homemade wotsitty thingamy and she did the LPs.  They looked fab!

Waspy, just remember to take it easy and not agree to climb up Kilimanjaro in six months time coz you won't have recovered enough *Yes I was stupid enough to try :^O*.

As for all this talk of sweaty & moist places - I'd like it to be known tht I have none LOL! *does not "do" sweating*.  Eeeeeuuuu!

I'm flagging now.  I've forgotten the rest - I blame the shock of the varacose chatter!  What a shock about the stabbing.  That would be a bit to close to home for my liking.  I hope you are ok (as in feeling safe rather than worried sick).

Um, I give up.  I can't remember the rest.

I'm babysitting at a friends tonight and not loving her keyboard (littley is now in bed).  I got my apple rings out of my new toy before I came here.  Unfortunately not many made it to their box.  Hmmmm, I wonder what happened to them? ?:|

Strong winds here to, from early hours and it's raining.  Was meant to be going and tackling the garden of my house that I rent out.

The tenant left yesterday.

When I find my picture that I have of what used to be a garden, I will post it with the "after" picture.

It is absolutely full of brambles and I cannot even get to the shed.  I'm afraid I took £100 of her bond because of it.  If she hadn't been a good tenant otherwise, I would have kept the lot.

Morning ladies.:|  Wet, windy and dark here. Another broken night of coughing, I'm getting quite fed up of it. My list of jobs is the same every day, because I don't get round to doing them so carry them over.  I must clear the utility room work top, I've been bunging stuff in there for days now and it's full!:-(  I need to do some serious cleaning too.  Don't feel like it!

Who is going to bother whether you have cleaned or not.

You stay warm, take cough medicine and keep your feet up and relax.  Stuff the cleaning!

Oh, and have you got any home made cough/cold cures you can bring with you? This brandy doesn't seem to work.  Perhaps I should give the next bottle a try?

Poor CG, its really dragging on isn't it 😞 I think it may be a good idea to try the second bottle of Brandy ....... who knows, the first one may have been faulty  😄

I wasn't around yesterday, had a final trip through to MIL's bungalow, everything left in it now will be taken by house clearence people on Sat, it was so sad coming away knowing we won't be going back there anymore.
Went to see her at the care home & was so embarrassed, there was a new lady there so I said to her how nice to have more company ......... her reply (rather loudly) .......... miserable bugger won't stop crying, I was mortified 😮 .... I know its her illness but still wasn't nice & so not like her, then at tea time she started singing why are we waiting when said new lady was slow/reluctant to go to the dining table   :_|
After that we suggested we should go to her room for a while .... less embarrassing :-x
Half past one this morning when we got home, OH wasn't at all impressed when I decided we should visit Asda while passing York on the way home   ...... well its our nearest one  :^O

Afternoon from soggy Suffolk

Been out this morning to watch my little nephew in his nativity play 🙂 Well worth getting wet for - was very cute.

Am getting pished off with the post office - stuff I sent last week hasn't been received and my post is so slow - know there's several things on their way that have yet to reach me 😞

Hope you feel better soon CG - some nasty germs around at the moment. Have youngest off school today full of cold and he's just exhausted 😞

CK - my outlaws have had to move recently and downsize. Not quite the same but it will be weird seeing them in their new small house rather than the one I've know for 25 years.

CG must be better now 'cos she's sent all her germs here! I tried to phone work this morning to say I wouldn't be in but as I've lost my voice (I'm reduced to a very raspy squeak now) my boss couldn't understand a word I was saying so I gave up & texted her instead.

No snow here but loads of rain, but we did have rain before the last lot of snow!

Might try & finish my quilt off as I've just completed my Tesco christmas order (made a tiny order last week just to book my delivery slot & needed to complete it).
