The cake looked lovely CG until Twishy got her lips round it.  Typical.

Glad to see you back Gina.  I was only thinking about you this morning and it dawned on me that you were on holiday.  I hope that you had a good time.

the last time that happened to my sewing machine, I tried allsorts and it wouldn't work, took it to the repair guy and I hadn't threaded it properly

It is usually the threading CB but I think it was something else with Merlins.

I felt such a twit, I've been sewing for years, but I just never saw that!!!!

I don't know much about sewing machines though.

Thanks for asking merc she is in a back cast and had her thumb pinned and plated this morning also has a cast on her wrist and hand for 6 weeks to deal with all the other breaks and fractures.

They will keep her in Walton till the end of the week just to try and keep an eye on things and then hopefully bring her back to Wrexham.

Not ideal at the mo though as I have no holidays left and am working 12hr shifts plus trying to go back and too.

Will just keep our fingers crossed for now but don't think this is the sort of "getting plastered" she was hoping for LOL

Sorry to hear about Miss S's problems Stan.  Is is actually Walton Hospital or the Walton Unit at Fazakerly hospital she's in?  If she's in Fazakerly, it's a beggar to get to and the parking is horrendous.  An aunt of mine was in Fazakerly a few years ago and the parking was bad then and I've heard it's worse now.

Hope that Miss S is home soon.

Maggie is still keeping us all in line, CG is keeping up with the naked tap dancing lessons, CK has drowned under a sea of knitting and merlin has colour co-ordinated herself with attached labels and tidied herself away to a very neat cupboard somewhere.
