THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Me too Merc.

Usual **bleep**-up, still no idea if there is a thetre slot, much less a bed, I am parked in reception! No-one can agree if I'm supposed to take my meds, so I've done my I.V. meds myself.

Don't know about going without a bra, my knees would get bruised!  Smiley Surprised

I hope they've got you sorted stroppy, what a fiasco!!Smiley Sad

This is more like a medical thread than a sewing thread.  We should have a medical thread, it would be the busiest one!

So I've made a bread bag.

Evening all.  Sorry that you're not sorted Stroppy.  I agree with you CG - I think that there should be a medical thread with all the problems we have.

Had a lovely day out.  We went to Boundary Mill at Colne in Lancashire.  We had our lunch first at their fish and chip restaurant.  There were 48 plus the coach driver having fish, chips and peas.  There was a raffle on the coach which we won.  There were 2 bars of chocolate, shower gel, men's deodorant and hand wash in a lovely little bag.  We bought some photo frames from the M & S outlet, a knitting book and some wool.  Mum bought me a jumper for Christmas and I bought my mum some hankies again for Christmas.  We are absolutely shattered at the moment and methinks that it's going to be an early night.

Just spoken to Steph and I've told her about the patch of skin cancer on my chest.   She was really upset and concerned.  She made me promise that I would ring her when I'd been to the hospital on Friday which I will do obviously.  I'm waiting for a phone call from Steph's mum now.  She'll go mad that I didn't tell her but with the wedding and the funeral a couple of days before the wedding, I didn't want to worry the family even more.

hope it goes ok  Chris

just tell  them Thanks for their concern, thats really wonderful, and

that you cant worry about it til after the biopsy,

so having them worry  would be in no ones  interests

Thanks for your concern Towery but I had a biopsy done on 10th September and I know that it is skin cancer and I have to see a plastic surgeon on Friday.  Apparently, it can be treated by either cream or a minor operation.  I will just have to wait and see.

well Chris, if they can cure it like that, that will be great, no intense operation for you to worry about.

I love that bread bag CG, did you stencil on the pattern? is it hessian material you used? I think it's great!

I shall be starting to make some stuff now too.

What are you planning on making CB?  I have just finished making one of the hats that I had an order for.  The other one is in black and I hate knitting in black in electric light so I will get on with that one tomorrow.

The hairdresser is coming tomorrow afternoon at 2.15.  I definitely need a haircut as it's driving me mad at the moment.

Good evening all.

Love the bread bag.

I am back home - operation did not happen, but they did manage to change the dressing.

Have finished a second cardi for granddaughter's birthday, all packed up and ready for the post.

Gawd Stroppy.  I'd be passed screaming point if it was me.  Have they given you any idea when you might have the operation?  Keeping everything crossed for you.

Chris, I'll be making the mincemeat actually this week, it'll have to be done early this year. I'll be sewing some Christmas decorations....little Christmas puds for the tree...it's my last bit of sale for charity this year. We sent half to the Dogs Trust and the girls want me to send the rest to the Donkey Sanctuary.

I am trying to find some Christmassy button decorations for some headbands I've already knit.  I've not found any yet but I'll keep looking.

Off to bed as I am tired but probably won't get to sleep straight away.

The fabric is calico capt.  No, I didn't stencil it, I did it on my embroidery machine.

Best wishes for Friday books.  Not had any experience of that but it seems it's a very good one to get if you have to have one at all.

Morning.

Back safely and had to hit the ground running as I'm straight back to work.

Wasn't really a good holoiday as FIL is a lot worse than we thought, so really hard work, but at least it was a change of surroundings.

Hope it all works out medically for Stroppy and Books. Sorry, haven't had time to read right back so not sure what is happening with everyone else. Just hope everyone is OK.
