THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

*Skips into thread*

Hi all, Finally got aorund to getting beads today for gingerbread men eyes for the Christmas deccies I wuz gonna make.  Hmmm, maybe for next Christmas then eh?  Or p'raps the one after 😄

Captain Coo, Hope you got on ok.  I started reading your post and then had to stop. . . . . just in case coz I is too wimpy.  Was it the pre-op today?  Good luck for the big day.

*Hugs Numpts*, I only read back the last 30 odd posts so haven't seen what's up with Holly but sorry to hear she's in hospital.  I didn't realise your H was a Holly!  Mine too!  So you can tell her that Holly's dollys went to a Holly (And PJ) and she lurrrrrves them.  Hope Holly is better soon.  And I know what you mean about one thing after another but I highly recommend Merlin's advice.  Just work out what you NEED to deal with.  The rest can wait. Honest! :-x

Hi ck.  All I know is it's when you have diabetese and you have too much insulin and go into a coma.  Not a lot of good am I?  Sorry.

Here's a picture to cheer you all up.  Lottie has always enjoyed playing with toddler.  This was this afternoon.

Aw, lovely Lottie :-x

I just had a phone call from a lifelong friends " partner  X-( "

by lifelong .. think infant school 😄

he said she got taken into hospital in a coma 2 days ago, he said she was now concious but in a bad way & wondered if I would go to see her tomorrow, which of course I would but I have lurgy still 😞

She's had diabetes for a few year but it was controlled with tablets ...... not injections.

I saw her at christmas & must admit she looked awful but since they have been together the last couple of years we haven't seen each other much, he's very controlling even though they don't live together ... he still lives in the same house as his ex 😐

things is he told me she was really ill & then said  don't tell her son or daughter as they'll only cause her stress ......... I'm shocked he bothered to tell me if I'm honest, as a family they do have more ups & downs than most, but keeping it from them seems so wrong.

Could you try ringing the hospital to see if you could speak to her or explain who you are and ask for a message to be passed on and you will call back.

I know our local hospital will take a phone to a bed at a pre arranged time once a patient gives consent

He does sound very controlling!

I wonder what she would want if she was in a position to give her opinion.?

Perhaps you'll be well enough in a couple of days to go and see how the land lies.?:|

Have just come off the phone from ringing the hospital 🙂

she's ill but comfortable is all they could say ... they will tell her I've rung & if I ring again tomorrow they will tell me more if she gives them permission too.

its just got me soooo mad, what right has he to keep it from her family X-(  not that I would tell her daughter anyway atm, she lives 50miles away & has just had baby no 6 last week  ............. all girls under 8 ...Dad upped & left after no 5 but I think he came back for a visit or two  X-(

like I said, a complicated family you could write a book on them, but this friend has a heart of gold & I don't want to see her hurt  :-x

(((CK))) 😞

My friend bought me round Waitrose clotted cream fudge yoghurt as a 'pick me up' for going back to work tomorrow. How sweet is that? Only I'd eaten 2 before I saw they have 240 calories each!:-(

i would tell one of the children,

it's more likely one or both of them are the legal next of kin, rather than a man she's known for a couple of years and doesn't live with.

it's very possible he informed the hospital he was next of kin.
