love the cake..
helped make a black and white wedding cake in the summer it was soo hot that the black kept running..
don't suppose you had that problem this week!!

I'm all bright & refreshed this morning, had an early night last night & a sleep in 😮
I was just soooooo tired.
I was in bed & asleep by 11pm ....... much different to my usual 3am :^O
When I opened the curtains in the bedroom someone had drawn a HUGE ***** "I'll let you use your imagination" in the snow on the car bonnet :^O:^O
Emma, I don't think I'd want to eat Black fondant ... but that cake looks lovely 😄

Thanks Ladies. Haven't heard from OH yet, but he was going straight to work after delivering so I'm sure he would have called if there was a problem. Black fondant is very hard to work with, its coarser than standard roll-out, and yes it can bleed quite easily. I prefer to do it this way, covering the whole cake, than doing a white cake with black accents!
Well done on the PJ's maggie. I did the same with a tracksuit once, they told me it was their best seller and they'd never had an issue. So I made her go and get another from the shelf, and it was nearly 2 inches smaller! She soon apologised and refunded!

Tiddy Oggies are bite size pasties made with minced beef, onion, Oxo, potato & carrot with a bit of cayenne pepper in too.:-) My mum always made them & I am carrying on the tradition.:-D They were also demanded by mu daughter so I had no choice really! lol

sounds nice maggie, I'd imagine the cayenne would add a warming effect 🙂
I very rarely eat beef, but mixed with other igredients and bite size, i think they would be rather nice. 🙂

They sound lovely maggie, I never ever bake or make things like that .... but I may just give those a try 😄

I just chuck it in a pan & cook it until it's tender. I add the cooked carrots & pots half way through. Season to taste.:-) I put some curry paste in some last year & they were yummy! Cut a 3"/4" circle of pastry & plop some cold mixture in. Make into a pasty & brush with egg. Bake until they are golden.

Just made some mince pies here - they've turned out ok. Been braising red cabbage to towards christmas dinner - that always tastes better if it reheated.
Boys are playing silly games on the Wii - lots of laughing coming from the front room.
