Yes Gina, I hope that Maggie and everyone else is safe in this foul weather.  Last night when I first went to bed, it was windy and we did have some rain but I am lucky.  I've said this before where I am there are no real extremes of weather.  I feel heartily sorry for people affected by the storms.  However, I do not feel sorry for the idiots who will insist on going out in the bad weather to take photos therefore putting the lives of rescuers at risk.  I have no sympathy whatsoever for these idiots.

I am fine. Half a mile from the worst bit of the Chesil. The place is buzzing with police, coastguard & Environment Agency people. The road will be closing soon at high tide.

everything OK still Maggie? you can't imagine how much water there must be to make waves and surges like we are getting. My penpal in Maine said that they are having more rain which is settling on the snow and forming ice!! so it looks like there may be more to come next week.

Had a very blowy walk along my 'sheltered' beach. Feels chilly this afternoon. Not heard any more about the road closures.

My aunt in Philly says jeepers it's cold,  she has had the rain on ice and has been banned by my uncle from going out at all.

Nice and sunny but windy here, lovely walk with the dogs, they actually managed to stay dry for once.

We've had our recycled waste taken today.  They normally only empty ours any time from 6pm to 7.30pm but today, they were early and came at around 5pm.  I've had to put the containers away just in case they blow away never to be seen again.  Must admit though, I've known it worse but I've also known it better.

Absolutely throwing it down here, the window is only open a tiny crack, but there is still a puddle on the floor where the rain has blown in

We had heavy rain last night as well.  Had an early night as I didn't sleep well the night before.  Must admit that I had a better sleep last night though.  Mum wants to go for a food shop later so we'll go after lunch.

According to the front page of the paper this morning, the weather is going to be dire next week.  Snow, frost and ice.  They have been known to be wrong before so I hope that they're wrong this time.

The sun is shining here & the wind has dropped. No dire weather forecast down here although it might get a little colder next week. Off to get my hair cut later. I look a bit like an Old English Sheep Dog!

Good Morning ,  it rained a lot in the night so everything now looks clean & fresh including my car which was very dirty 🙂

Dh is working in London today so i have the whole day to myself,  my sewing room is calling me >>>>>>>>>>>>

Just back from B&Q with proof that if you pay peanuts you get monkeys! lol Kitchen salesman didn't have a clue. Said they don't do replacement doors in the size I need so I ended up finding them in their brochure myself!
