Afternoon all.  Glad that you got your lights sorted Maggie but I'm sorry you got drenched though.

Sorry that your not well again PCC.  Hope that you soon feel better.

Our bin men don't normally work on any bank holiday.  I think that they may have had quite a few complaints and not just from me either.  At least it is sorted now.

Hi all,  Had a lie in this morning until 9am, wow thats late for me.  Have been trying to get on here all day but the broadband is really slow today, so it kept timing out.

CB did you enjoy the ride home?

Stan and CG thanks for clearing up, and books cheers for the cake.

Early to bed tonight up at 2am and back off to work, really don't want to go, but never mind only 2 days then I don't work until Wednesday.

Great party last night thanks.

P.S. dark wet and windy all day here.

I agree Ed.  It was a good night last night.

Stan, I am sorry but I didn't say thank you for the coffee this morning.  It was very kind of you and thank you very much.

The weather has been awful here today.  It's been wet and windy.  It's not been light properly all day.

I have been watching Sherlock. It was really good. He is an odd looking chap the actor that plays him.

Morning all.  The weather seems to have calmed down a bit here.  It looks like it's been raining overnight as well.

Hope that everyone is as well as can be expected and hugs to those that need them.

It's like spring again here, calm, sunny and mild.  Certainly shows up the dust!

I might pack up some of the bits and pieces but I'll leave the tree until my cleaner comes again, which is not until next Wednesday.  It'll be 8th, but I just won't put the lights on after 6th and then no one will notice!! Smiley Wink

I hope that all our decs are down and put away, I did ask for it to be done, but since I haven't been at home I have no idea if "him indoors" actually did it.

Consultants have just been round and had a conference. It has been decided that since the cocktail of anti-biotics is not having the desired effect, they will stop them all, remove the catheter, semi discharge me and hope for the best. It means that I will have to come in for half a day every 3 days for the dressing to be changed and for any blood tests to be done.

Weather at least looks decent today - bright and sunny out there, but I bet that it is cold.

Afternoon all.

Sorry about your problems Stroppy.  Hope that they can come with something soon for you.

We've taken the Christmas cards down and it's looking bare.  We'll take the rest down on 6th and it really will look bare.

Glad that you managed to buy something for the yet to be born grandchild.  You can get some really good bargains in the M & S sale.  Last year, I bought Grace a lovely knitted dress for £2.50 instead of £10.  I knit her a cardigan to go with it and we bought her some tights as well.  Grace's mum, Steph was made up with them.

I am knitting myself another jumper with the wool I bought in the sale in the wool shop in town the other day.  The wool is like a pea green colour and I am getting on well with it.
