That's a lovely wreath Von.  A friend of ours has asked me to knit a waistcoat for her 3 year old great granddaughter.  I only got the wool today and I am already well on with the back.  Knitting for little ones doesn't take me long.

Morning all.  It sounds a little bit breezy here at the moment and it doesn't feel too warm either.  Just hope that we don't get the strong wind again.

Hope that everyone is as well as can be expected and hugs to all that need them.

Lovely and sunny here.  Am trying to make sense of the spare room that has parcels all over the floor.  I'm putting them into piles of different families.  Perhaps they would have been better somewhere higher.  All the bending is giving me gyp in my hip!  Ah well, I'll just have to keep stopping for coffee breaks.  Woman Wink

I have my little present piles on the spare bed. Seems to be about eight each at the moment. Only silly things but it's fun to unwrap. I need a couple more for Jamie & his dad. Why are the males so hard to buy for?

It's a much nicer day here. Mild & dry unlike yesterdays non stop rain!

Windy and sort of sunny here but not cold 13 degrees.

Putting up my trees, one down one to go, lounge is a bomb site, tree bits, decs, boxes, everywhere. Needed a break and a coffee, who would think decorating for Christmas would be so exhausting.

Likes your makes as well Von.  I'm still knitting the girl's waistcoat that I started yesterday.  Should have it finished tomorrow.  There's a couple of cardigans on the same pattern and I may do one for Grace in the new year.  After all, a girl can't have too many woollies at this time of year can she?

THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Morning all.

Love those santa's Von heart

Just back from the hossie here so off to bed in a moment to see if we can get a couple of hours sleep, did lots of shopping yesterday and had wrapped all my goodies when we had a phone call.Smiley Sad

Miss S had been involved in a car accident , we managed to get there before the police and everyone else OK just a little shaken up but as S was thrown forward she has jarred her back and also managed to break the windscreen with her hand.

Police not very helpful as they wanted her to get out of the car and for us to take her to hospital Smiley Surprised

Seemed a bit wrong anyway as she was complaining about back pain after a bump but I also explained about her condition and therefore we have been waiting around in A&E for a scan which she will have at midday when there are staff available to do it.

Oh well could have been far worse and at least this gets her out of peeling the spuds xmas day.

Sometimes do feel like someone up there said "oh look she's got broad shoulders let's chuck everything carp at her" but we can cope with broken bones it's the back that's the worry.

She's just fed up of being strapped to the board at the moment but they won't risk moving it till the scan which is why even without her condition I was surprised at the police response of wanting her to get out of the car and move about ??

Oh goodness me stan, I hope she'll be ok, but better to be safe than sorry and keep still until the scan.  Did she damage her hand much?

It's just what you need, a few days before Christmas isn't it.   Best Wishes to Miss S. XX.

Hand is well and truly busted CG

They think at the moment that she has managed to either break or fracture just about every finger and knuckle in it and have put it in a temporary cast for now as they can't move her to get better x-rays till her back is seen too.

I have told her that a car crash was a little bit over the top just to get out of washing the dishes and peeling veg but hey-ho there's worse off than us
