Evening all. Just in the middle of completing an order for a headband and two pairs of mittens. As luck would have it, I do have a helper sitting to my right who has managed to knit one pair of mittens for me.
Just watching Children in Need and to see some of the children and their families deserve medals. You don't realise how much children suffer and the families are so very supportive of them. It brings tears to your eyes.

Afternoon all. It's on the cool side here and we have been forecast with rain and some fog. We are going out for the day on Wednesday, and were we are going to, it is going to be might cold. At least we will be under cover all day as we are going to a place called Oswaldtwistle Mill. We've been there before and we've enjoyed it. We'll be having a free cuppa when we get there then there will be time for some retail therapy. We will then have a three course Christmas meal. Before we leave, we will have another cuppa but this time, we will have a mince pie as well. I'm looking forward to it. Just hope that we don't have any snow. Fingers crossed.

I've just discovered some crafting thread that my penpal from USA sent me. I wondered if I would ever be able to use it but I've just sewn up a Christmas stocking and it's lovely stuff, much better than 3 strands of embroidery cotton. I wish I'd have known before I sewed up all those puds and robins!!!!

Morning
Very quiet on this thread recently.
I know I don't post much - worked 75 hours this week as well as looking after my Mum and FIL, so not much time these days.
Hope everyone is well and looking forward to Christmas.

Maggie...
I think that wreath is the nicest I've ever seen
It reminds me of the tree at the Buddhist retreat, where you tie a rag on a branch with a wish, & the wind blows all the prayers to the furthest regions

Thank you Merc. That is a lovely image. I bought some wire today to make some more. I am going to try some smaller ones If I can manage to tie the little bits of fabric.

Afternoon all.
Maggie, the things you have made are beautiful.
Good to see you back Learning if only for a short spell.
We had a misty start to the day here. It's quite cloudy at the moment with a little bit of a breeze. Checked a weather forecast earlier and we may have light snow near the end of the week and it is going be mighty cold. As I have said before, I hate winter and it should be banned.

Lovely Maggie - I made a similar one 2 years ago - used felt and ribbon as well as fabric

oooh I love those wreaths, do you buy the wire as a ring shape from a craft shop or do you make the ring yourself Maggie? how do you get it perfectly round if you have to do it yourself?
I've just to glue a few bits and bobs onto some of the felty items and that's them all done. I have to cut out some more birds, I think I'll alter the colour I sew them up with, not keen on the white myself, what do you guys think? would they look better done in brown? would appreciate comments.
