So glad they're safe pcc heart

I remember my daughter driving into a telegraph pole to avoid a rabbit...the police coming - just a nightmare.

The pole fell right through the roof of the car, but thankfully she was so slim, it missed her by inches.

I know when I saw the car, I couldn't believe she lived to tell the tale.

That was many years ago, & didn't put her off driving at all.

You just never stop worrying about them, no matter their age heart

I had a bad accident when I was just 21 and it has made me an over cautious driver ever since. My car was hit by a double decker bus and rolled. It was my fault. I remember putting my hand up to my face and it was all wet, sticky and warm. I thought it was blood then realised I'd stuck a can of coke between the brake and the seat! I was very lucky, whiplash, three broken fingers and for some bizarre reason cuts on my bum where the shattered windscreen had gone down the back of my jeans! I was in Leeds (shouldn't have been!) and I just turned right straight into its path on the brow of a hill. What really scared me was that I thought I was driving really carefully because I didn't know the roads. It made me a bad driver really as I don't trust anyone to not make a stupid mistake.

PCC - glad they are both o.k. - cars can be replaced, people can't.

I am cold, wet and miserable - blasted weather. Had to go to A & E, of course the second I got out of the front door the heaven's opened. By the time I got in the car, I had very few dry bits. Got to hossie, the rain had eased, but the second I opened the car door, it threw it down again. Was drying off a bit when they said I could go home, but got soaked again when I went to the car.
As I undressed this puddle of water formed - you could wring out my underwear it was so wet.

I am now in bed, with my heat pad and my microwave hottie, trying to thaw out.

Holds out plate and spoon.  Loves crumble.  Yum yum.

The pain from the skin cancer isn't too bad at the moment.  My mum and I very often say that we couldn't make half a good body between the pair of us.  I very often say that if I was a horse, I would have been shot some time ago.  Never mind.  Things could be worse I suppose.
