morning huggles
morning ladies,
following on from the mishaps that we have been going through,
the gentle art of crafting...NOT... hot glued my thumb last night while me and tara where making xmas decs, wasnt sure what was glue or skin, so gave it a big bite to pull the glue off, only to find it was skin, had to sit with my thumb in a cup of water for hours.
pulling the stair carpet off , i was very careful with the carpet grippers, until the postie knocked, took me by surprise and i sat on one, had to literally pull it out of me bum.
ta da.....:-D

Carpet gripper is evil! At our last house we pulled up all the carpets when we moved in and then decorated. It seemed that I was stepping on it every five minutes.

Morning all.
Ouch to carpet grippers in yer derriere 😮
No phizz not posted the book as can't send the card with no addy's on them can I :-p:^O
Busy sorting the post at work this morning as seems to be way more than normal.

😞
Olly has had a crash. Not too much damage to either car and no-one was hurt. Police came and declared it the other driver's fault but they breathalised everyone. He's a bit shaken and I've had to put my knitting down for a bit because I'm shaking so much!
10-12-2012 8:17 PM
Glad everyone is ok. Had the other driver been drinking?
10-12-2012 8:21 PM
he says they didn't test the other driver because of a medical condition so just Olly and his instructor. They made an appointment to see the other driver on Tuesday to check his eyesight and followed him afterwards so maybe he had been. Ol says he was about 85, so he was probably about 60!
10-12-2012 8:31 PM
glad Olly's ok, is the car he is learning in dual-control?
10-12-2012 8:49 PM
Yes, the other driver went into him so the instructor couldn't do anything.
10-12-2012 8:57 PM
oh how awful, I hope it hasn't put him off learning
we had an old lady bump into us once, she was sat in the side of our car and was still insisting it was OH's fault:O
we had a hell of a job getting her insurance details.
she offered to pay herself in the end.
I guess she may have thought if she claimed she wouldn't get insured next time!!!!

It's silly I keep welling up!
10-12-2012 9:14 PM
its not silly, its a natural reaction
its the what-if's going through you - talk to someone or at least write it doing, get it out of your head so to speak 🙂
is Olly talking about it?
it can help, it may strike him at odd times, and he may get flashbacks about it happening (i still do from my accident 6yr ago i think)

Glad everyone was ok huggles. Look at this as a blessing in disguise, hopefully it's taught Ollie an invaluable lesson. It really instils into him, however good a driver he is, his biggest danger on the road is from other drivers. Never assume you know what they are going to do until they've done it.
I think experiencing something like this for himself is better than being told about it a hundred times.

I agree CG. bayou just hate to think of them having a near miss. It's not been a good week for him!
