That pattern and wool look lovely. We 'met' baby Jess on FaceTime tonight and to be honest she just looks an overdue baby! Oscar on the other hand was being a cutie! Must be strange for him at 17 months. OH has gone into one of his moods and although it sounds mean I'm not going to take it this time. He disappeared for half the day and was sooo nasty to me in front of people! Eventually I said to stop it because I was getting so cross. So now he's 'embarrassed' because I said that. When I went to let that cleaner in last night the key didn't fit. So I drove to the office to get another and that didn't fit. Helped the cleaner reload his van and came home. When he got in he just shouted for ages saying how useless I was and that he had used both keys and they worked. They so didn't. So anyway our handyman came in and I asked him to go and check. Of course OH insisted on going too and of course they didn't fit. Apology? No. This went on all day. I was trying to work and he was trying to humiliate me. Then he went out and bought an HD 3D Smart TV and Blueray player that we can't afford, don't need and .....sorry. 😞

Not getting any better is it.:-(

😐
I'm a softy. After 44 years I still do little extra things that I think will please him. They usually do and he's appreciative. BUT, if I feel taken for granted it really upsets and annoys me. I can be stubborn when hurt and I'm afraid if Mr B were my hubby, there would be a lot of groveling and apologising before I was my happy friendly self again. X-(

Why is it mean Huggles 😐
OH has moods & I used to just ignore them & let him get on with them, now I don't & tell him to "grow up & stop being childish" ............ doesn't always go down very well but at least he knows I'm annoyed with him 😛
he goes quiet then :^O

No. I tried to tell him other day that verbal abuse is still abuse but he just went mad. Last night I got home at about eight, had a glass of wine and made dinner. He came home from squash and called me a sad, fat drunkard. I'd had two glasses by then but he kept saying you don't want to get slim again, you just want to drink! He had of course been drinking although probably not much more than me. The new TV has wiped out me getting a different car realistically but I secretly think that's why he bought it.

Huggles thats awful 😮
I know I complain a lot about mine but I must say he has never spoken to me like that & is very quick to apologise if & when he realises he is in the wrong

Trouble is I'm no good at sulking. However hurt I feel I always end up cooking something etc. Mind you we finished off last nights lamb stew tonight and he went mad because he found a bone! Um, yes, it was made from lamb shanks and I did warn you even though I went through it and tried to extract all the bones and fat.

You've got one that admits he's in the wrong ck?:O Wow, what a rarity!! :^O
When mine realises he's in the wrong he changes tack and works it round so that he's saying the same as me. I know that he knows and he has to hide a smile! :^O
But, he's never called me names or sworn at me.:|

I gave hubby some soup once, he took a large spoonful and was surprised and said it was hot. I said 'That's good, shows the cooker's still working' and next time we had it I wrote a note to put on it saying 'Warning, this soup is HOT!'
He doesn't say anything now.;-)

I did too! Typical of the things we have to go through, eldest son has had some Facebook messages from his biological Dad and his cousins so he took the opportunity of OH being upstairs to show me and ask a million questions about his Dad! I looked and resisted to ask 'so which one is Carolyn, the skinny one'. He has now gone to have a 'long hot bath' so that's mine buggered! Think I'll go and claim the bed before my youngest comes down for a talk. I know, cringingly, that they both heard me shout winkler when OH went up.

I don't know how you can live with the nasty name calling. 😞 That is so horrible.:-(

I'm just off to bed H. and we have had our moments re subject of OHs.
I'll say only this and then zip it - 'we make a living by what we get - but we make a life by what we give'.
Try to maintain your dignity, which I know is cripplingly hard, mine doesn't back down either, even now. Envisage and enjoy a lovely couthy (Scottish) new baby smelling day with baby Jess. There is no joy in the world like a new wee baby. Nnight x.

Maggie you see what everyone/friends see when you visited us. A lovely man who can't do enough! It's not like that. RDW you should be resting and sleeping! I hope yours is only reacting to his fears, .....I think mine's just a b#$stard. Oh, I should have married John Grinstead like my mother said!
