Looks like I'm first in the que hightara , but then again O/H probably wouldn't argue with that.

At last it seems to have stopped raining here ,however the flood water has.nt subsided yet so still need the jeep to get to work.

Morning! Got up early and did the ironing etc and then......,.went and found my sewing machine that I've never used, well except for a Tudor cloak when Olly was 4. When I met Maggie I mimed using a sewing machine. Now it's real and out of its box it looks different. For a start the foot has come off. Is that supposed to happen? :_| might just put it back!

It was easier once I remembered the clonk down bit. I was just blipping the needle up and down.

Going to make a new lining for our rather large dirty washing basket. I've managed to thread the machine but deciding how to sew the liner is challenging me! Got to stop to take my Mum shopping now. Kitchen table is covered as is the living room floor!:_|

This is not going well. Does about an inch then the machine sounds laboured and the next thing there's a load of cotton jamming around the bobbin bit. Off to google.:-(

Wind a fresh bobbin, rethread top & bottom & put in a new needle. 🙂

I've only just wound this bobbin!:_| I don't know if I have any more needles. Off to look in the box.

Double check the bobbin is in correctly & that the top thread is through the tension discs.:-)

Maggie I've texted you a photo of two bits that were in near the bobbin.

That's the bobbin case. the shuttle bit (silver metal) sits in the black bit. Which needs cleaning by the way! It's all fluffy! It took me ages to type in all the codes to get the picture! :^O

Why did it fall out? Off to see how it goes back in.
