Throws the windows open and leaves >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Oi - shut that window, it's freezing cold in here!
Honestly, folks that come along and just moan - roll yer sleeves up and get busy cleaning instead of moaning.
I keep telling you that the only way that you're going to get those termi's is the town hall steps (actually they've built a nice wall just in front of the town hall steps that's quite handy for sitting / leaning on). Ripley on a Friday night is THE place (has to be seen to be beleived).
I'm waiting to be collected as I'm being let out for the weekend - I have promised to be VERY good and not to disappear off to furrin parts or to do anything particularly energetic. I just forget to mention to the registrar thet keeping me eyes open was as energetic as I can manage right now!
At least it seems to have stopped raining.
06-09-2013 4:25 PM
What rain still not raining here even though the local news says it is.

Afternoon all.
We've had quite a bit of rain today. Went out to lunch today for my mum's birthday. One of our friend's came to pick us up and we went to a pub and had a lovely meal. We all had gammon and pineapple with chips, peas and tomato. It was delish. I just had me tea and I just had cereal with milk and blueberries. I'm absolutely shattered now though.
Hope that everyone is as well as can be expected and hugs to all that need them.

Was CK biker she does it all the time then blames it on her poor doggy
By the way you do realise we're gonna have to clean up all this drippy oil that your little barbie scooter's leaked don't you
06-09-2013 5:28 PM
Shush stan, we don't mention that. It's not oil, biker just happens to dribble a lot. Don't say anything, she's easily embarrassed.
You didn't let on you were going bungee jumping then stroppy? Best not to worry them.
06-09-2013 6:18 PM
Dear Biker, don't sob - just makes your face all puffy and your nose red - not a good look, trust me..
Hello to everyone else, glad you had a good day Chris x.
06-09-2013 6:40 PM
Oh and glad to hear you're getting home Stroppy, take care and don't be going mad doing stuff
06-09-2013 7:13 PM
Hi Rainy. Hows it hanging?
06-09-2013 7:56 PM
We've had a lovely day thank you Carol but I think that my mum is in the process of catching my cold. The thing is that when my mum gets a cold, she always seems to end up with bronchitis. I hope that we are not going down that route for my mum's sake.
06-09-2013 8:36 PM
Sorry to hear that Chris - also puts an end to my visit - I get any of that stuff it's back to Stroppy's favourite place for me.
Cut off the rest of my hair - was falling onto the pillow thro' the night and driving me nuts - don't think I'd make much of a hairdresser, lol. I go to the Symptom Control Clinic next week - see if they can help - that's what's pulling me down - the pain, it makes me utterly miserable. It can only get better, bet you're glad you asked On the good side bought 2 pairs FS ballet flats for the winter, since they are what I live in now. I know now about comfy feet and to heck with the price. Do you have any plans for the weekend?
That is all

Just spoken to Steph and Grace doesn't want to wear her lovely dress for the wedding but she does know that her mum and dad are getting married. When they drive past the church where they are getting married, Grace says 'Mummy and Daddy are getting married there soon'. Steph's looking forward to seeing everyone at the wedding and she's pleasantly surprised that everyone is making the effort to look nice at the wedding and she can't wait to see everyone all dressed up. I'm looking forward to it more than ever after speaking to Steph tonight.

aawwww that's nice Chris, I bet she'll change her mind by the wedding, you know kids....she'll probably want to wear her wellies with her nice dress though
Hiya Rainy....keep well me darlin' I know about pain, ooooh yus I do, what with me hooves an all....tbh, it's getting to the edge of my pain threshold now, getting a bit fed up with it....roll on November!! Hope your clinic is worth the visit, should be interesting. Stroppy........be a good girl now, and enjoy your sleep.
I can't seem to get through to OH that I sleep so much because pain wears you out
Biker, are you feeling down me duck? get on that bike and go somewhere nice, cheer yourself up a wee bit xxx
06-09-2013 9:47 PM
Hope that you are soon feeling better Carol.
CB, I'd not thought about Grace wanting to wear her wellies. That wouldn't surprise me with her though the little tinker that she is. She's telling everyone that her mum and dad are getting married.
I think that people who aren't in pain don't realise how much it takes out of you when you are in pain or more to the point, agony. I don't know what hurts most with me at the moment - my back, my hips, my knees or my ankles. The weather has a lot to do with it and we've had rain today which doesn't help.
Off to bed soon as I'm shattered and my mum's been falling asleep for the last couple of hours. See you all in the morning. Night night all.

oh Biker, I didn't know you had a poorly hoof too....what are you having done to it? I go in November I think, or it may be earlier to have mine done...an osteotomy. I hope it works on my right foot. I think it's worked on the left but I have other stuff going on too so I'm not sure.....gawd, this getting old sucks
07-09-2013 3:55 PM
Afternoon all. My mum always says that CB - that there's nothing to recommend getting old. Mind you, she has an excuse. She is 81 now. In all seriousness though, I do understand where you are coming from. I'm just waiting for someone to come up with full skeleton transplant but I can't see it coming any time soon. I very often say that if I was a horse, I'd have been shot years ago. Never mind. There's plenty of folk worse off than me.

Can anyone advise me on the best thing to use to stop edges fraying for applique please. It's a close woven cotton, but I don't want to add too much bulk. (I'm altering some curtains for a friend and she wants me to add a couple of heart shapes).
Would the fray stop liquids be best or just iron on interlining?
Thanks
