Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Right - spoke to the Lung Cancer Specialist Nurse.

The cancer is not Stage 4 but T4, which relates to the size of the tumour, so a DS1500 would not be appropriate, having spent all morning trying to get hold of one!

I knew that a Stage 4 diagnosis couldn't be right.

Momma - I am in a craft group that great granny is also a member of - would you like me to send her a message. She  posted in the craft group yesterday, and as far as I know she is fine.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Afternoon all. Went out for a drink with my dad at lunchtime.  The man must be sickening for something as he gave me some money.  I nearly fell of the seat in shock.  Still, it was very kind of him I must admit.

Quite sunny here at the moment but there is a little bit of a breeze around.

Off to try and get my mother out of the garden before she does herself another mischief.

Afternoon all 🙂   Lovely and sunny here, but quite breezy.  Busy making hats still, just needed a quick coffee break 🙂

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I do that Maggie, every single time!!Woman LOL

I have to go back for my fillings.  I knew I'd lost them, one fell out yesterday when I was cleaning them!  The dentist's chair is broken so he was using a different room today, one downstairs.  I was wondering how I was going to manage with the stairs, I was quite interested to find out.  I came up my son's stairs this morning and it nearly killed me, but I was already tired and achey by then because I'd sorted out both children's entire clothing!

It's difficult to get anything from doctors about cancer!  Perhaps that's because everyone is so different and react differently to drugs.  Hubby's oncologist wouldn't be drawn out about how many treatments are left to try, how long he might have left, he wouldn't even say if he thought it was months or years.  I guess we just have to wait and see. Woman Indifferent

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

OH dear CG - I spoke to the specialist Nurse in the end - does your OH have one?

She gave me more iformation in 5 minutes than we had had since the diagnosis and it was very useful.

I did have to call the hospital again after the letter they sent was useless. Ended up getting a call back from the Consultant, who advised me how to complete the Attendance Allowance form!

I am having a day off today as SIL is visiting FIL Woman Happy

He hasn't got a specialist nurse Mags but he did find out more from the nurse who looked after him when he had the chemo last year.  He might find out more when he starts the new chemo. Smiley Happy

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Evening all.  I've got to wait a couple of weeks before I have my hair chopped.  It's already annoying me.  My hair is thick and it grows like grass.  Just hope when I have it cut next time that it will still look alright for the wedding.  It's only five weeks off the wedding now and I haven't got an outfit yet.  Well, I have got shoes and a handbag - it's just the rest of it I want.  Haven't a clue what to get.  I'll it a couple of weeks and go to one of these outlet places which is about a 20 minute drive away.  Mum needs an outfit as well.  At least Grace has got her outfit and it's lovely.  How long it will stay like that is anyone's guess.

I think that I would like a calf length dress with a short sleeved jacket to go over the top.  The reason I've got the shoes and handbag to match is that I only have one ankle and finding shoes is an absolute nightmare.  I can't wear shoes with heals because my right foot is grafted to my leg.  The shoes and handbag are white.
