Maggie, surely anything you make for charity (in this case the one you do yourself) is worth it.

I know what my wool costs, & I know how many hours I spend to produce a merc quirky knit...but I never think of it that way...any money I make is a bonus, & I am delighted to then send to that Charity.

I think everyone of us who 'hand make' never get back the costs, but we do it for the love of it & for (in my case ) the priceless feeling that comes from donating the money to our chosen charity.

In your case, I do realise that the work you put into these is immense...but, personally, I would hate you to give up on MDCC.

This sounds like a wee rant, but it really isn't Maggie...I just think some months peeps have more money that they can spend.
