It was absolute madness, but it is obvious that it's going to take an awful lot to get back to normal, so it is good to start along the road.

I'm absolutely cream crackered, but it was so worth it!

me too ... docs at 9am then on to friend who's had a birthday, then shopping, then rush home change and out for lunch for my birthday on Sunday....it's all go!!!!!

Well done Stroppy.  Let's hope you "escape" again.  Getting out and about must help the healing process.  Sun is out this morning, birds are singing, supposed to rain later - so get going.

Well, this morning they insisted that they had to measure my urine output, so brought the commode. I filled the pan and created a huge puddle on the floor with the overflow (just after the floor had been cleaned).  I rather think we can tick the "passed urine" box!

Wound is still draining loads and docs seem pleased with it.

The lovely Trever has sorted the dressing in my I.V. line and gave everyone a severe telling off for not listening when I first said that it was itchy and uncomfortable.

Less stiff and sore today, so hoping that a quick trip home will be easier.

Actually got very little sleep last night, they seemed to be forever in and out.

The Great Escape has again been re-enacted. It was much easier today, everything is much less stiff today. Things are definitely getting better.

Sorry I missed you biker, but I also managed to miss the heparin injection too.

Things are looking good, Pump dressing is working well, pressure sore is healing, just need to get the I.V. line changed.

The magic words home next week have been mentioned - just got to keep the infection count going down.

Trevor has been and didn't shout at anyone.
