Whilst I am not feeling great, I am better than I was yesterday. Both temperature and blood pressure are more stable and they have stopped the hourly monitoring. Had a nice snooze earlier.

They have actually done the 10pm meds at 10pm

Just nipped to see if there was any news - glad to hear there's an improvement, stroppy 🙂  Here's hoping it's the start of a proper recovery 🙂

I just wish I could get a decent shower! With a bit of luck I might get a wash sometime soon.

Hip itself is relatively pain fee, but shoulder is very sore where they have put in a central line. They had a canula in my atrn, and that is VERY sore stiff and painful with a rash where the adhesive was.. There is a canula in the other arm, and that too is still and sore. I hope that they might remove that today. I will also be more comfortable when they remove the oxygen.

I can sympathise with you fully, just having had all these things (to a lesser extent).  I had a canular in for days that dried up and was just sore.  When it was needed it was blocked so I had to have another one.  That was flushed out three times a day, but was never used again!  I still have the scar, three weeks later from the first one.  Am I the only person who is too agoraphobic to use an oxygen mask!!  How silly is that??:^O  I also was allergic to the adhesives used.

Have you any idea when you'll be able to escape yet?  And on the whole. would you say this latest visit was a success?  Hope so.  Take care stroppy.:-x

Very glad to hear you're doing OK.

Would a mild steroid cream help with the allergic rash? The sort they sell in the chemist for stings etc.

I find a mild antiseptic creme such as germolene clears the allergy rash as well as anything.

I can remember when Germolene was pink and smelly and came in a little pressed cardboard tub.

I can also remember turning the table upside down and rubbing its legs with germolene, hoping it would fly, like in the Magic Faraway Tree... :8}

Well, it doesn't matter where you rub germolene, I'm definitely not flying anywhere.

I didn't fly anywhere either....  The anticipation was good, though. I decided that germolene was just the wrong sort of pink ointment.

My mum used to work where they made Germolene.  The factory closed down about 17 or 18 years ago and my mum worked there for about 25 years.  Must admit, I think that Germolene is good.
