For lunch, we had a small hot pot and mixed veg for lunch. For tea, it's turkey salad.

Lamb shank marinated according to a Jane Grigson recipe, possibly with new potatoes and possibly with mash, depending on whether the mash defrosts in time.

I too, Leo, have often marvelled at that! Books, are you related to Bernard Matthews?

My mum's to blame for the turkey as she keeps telling me it's good for you. No, I'm not related to Bernard Matthews. Sometimes, I would fancy a change though. I admit thought we don't have turkey every day though there are times it feels like it.

Books couldn't you do Turkey for mum and then make something you fancy for yourself.

I am going to have to start doing that I think.

Congratulations. I hope you'll continue to be happy together for many years to come. Mine is later this month - St. Patrick's Day - 17th. My paternal grandfather was Irish, as was my mother. (Sigh - somebody has to be Irish, I suppose )

My parents were married on St Patrick's day. Unfortunately, they're no longer together.
I like the sound of a pork chop CB. Thank you.
