Shame about Rod Taylor - passed away aged 84

Shame about Rod Taylor, eh?  He passed away aged 84.  The surprising thing was he was an Australian actor.  You'd never have believed it in H. G. Well's adaption of The Time Machine.  Very easy watching although the film itself was one mass of holes, possibly the biggest one being somebody's parting shot: "Happy New Century, George."  because it wasn't - the new century wouldn't have been until January the first the following year!  He appeared in loads of films including Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds, and Train Robbers with John Wayne.  He was married three times.  R. I. P.

I remember him in 'The Birds' - Hitchcock the Master.  RIP Rod.

What part did he play?  I might have a copy lying around somewhere.

I have all Hitchcock films on CD - a present from my wee Daddy.
