Seems I am doing it again,
For anyone who hasn't seen it before, or those with very bad memories, I'll refresh the rules.
Secret Santa is a bit of fun for Christmas that most people who join in seem to enjoy.
You send your name, address, likes and dislikes in a message to me (via that little grey envelope up there ^ ^ ) then at the beginning of December I will jumble them all together and send you each the details of one other member.
You then use the information given to buy or make them a Christmas gift to the value of £5. (unless the majority feel it should be a little higher now, due to inflation, but that can be discussed as we go along)
I'll tell you your victim recipient at the beginning of December and that should give you all time to prepare it for posting shall we say around the 15th, to allow plenty of time to arrive at it's destination and to be put under the tree, (or hidden by partners for those amongst you who can't resist a little sticky beaking!! You know who you are!!)
I think that's all, but if not I'm sure someone will remind me.

Shall we 'bold' it CG? lol
"You will then chose a gift for them, it can be bought or it can be made by you, to the value of about £5.00. You wrap it all nicely but on the tag you only write something like From your FHG Secret Santa. X X X. Include the FHG because some people have SS gifts from other places. Don't put your ID or proper name on the tag or the outside of the parcel or it will give the game away."
Hows that!

Thanks. Do you think that'll be big enough Maggie??
06-12-2013 1:56 PM
I can make it BIGGER if you like! lol

I did read that, about the tag, it wouldn't be floating around the outside of the parcel would it, so the recipient wouldn't see it until they opened the parcel.
How do you wrap a horse by the way.
06-12-2013 2:47 PM
by the way, MINE IS ALL DONE AND GONE.
06-12-2013 3:26 PM
Mine will be gift wrapped inside the parcel with a SS tag on it. I wonder if my person will keep it until Christmas or be an impatient pants & open it! lol It's all ready to wrap now.

I would have thought you wrap it in Christmassy paper, attach a tag, then wrap the whole thing in brown paper or whatever.

I will keep mine, I don't have many prezzies to open so it's nice to have things to open. That sounded hard done by but I am not, we tend to buy big things that we need for Christmas so they don't get wrapped.

I meant that's how I'd wrap a parcel, but I suppose the same applies to a horse too.
06-12-2013 3:34 PM
Yes CG thats what I thought but obviously not everyone does it like that so I just thought if you write SS by the recipients name, either they would keep the whole lot or open carefully especially if people are expecting other parcels. it does get a bit exiting at Christmas.

Right I've finally beaten my SS present into submission....
Just need to get sumfink from the shed to add to it and then it's ready to post....
Hope my victim has drunk plenty of Christmas spirit before they open it.....

Twishy!!! You can't send that rat you found in the garden as a present, dead or not, so put the trap back in the shed and let the rat go.
(But if that's all you've got to send, seal it in a plastic bag first, it won't struggle for very long so won't split the paper on the journey )

Spoil sport.....
Now you've ruined me surprise....
