Thanks for the weather forecast Bluerose.  I've just checked the weather forecast on the Met Office website and it says on there that it will be cloudy all day.  I hope that they're wrong and you're right.  We are looking forward to it.  CB, if you can get over here early, and I mean early, you could come with us with pleasure.  We'll be leaving home at around 8.15 as we have to get to the other side of town to get the coach.  Some of us will get on the coach there and the rest will get on in town and we'll be leaving at 9.15.  It will be a long day.

1st time I have popped in a couple of months at least !!   Where did the summer go ?

It's been like summer here for the last few days. Really hot!

Evening all.

Pretty fed up - internet is on and off more often than a hoors drawers, and whilst I can access a wi-fi hotspot it is so slow, like wading though treacle.

Spent most of the day at A & E today with horrendous muscle spasms caused by low calcium. Both the A & E consultant and the orthopaedic consultant were absolutely disgusted that the GP has so far not prescribed any medication to help control the diabetes. They were also horrified at the state of "the hole" and the surrounding skin. Tissue viability were summoned, but no-one can come up with a solution, and it all got blamed on the diabetes. Did manage to get a box of disposable bed pads, and two boxes of dressing pads to help soak up the discharge.

They have decided to do another sinogram to try to discover if there is still a sinus tunelling from the hole down to where the hip joint used to be. That will mean a wait of at least 4 weeks, then another week whilst they all argue over the result.

I just want some semblance of normal life back, and to be able to get bak to work.

For Gawd's sake Stroppy what the hell is happening here?  Your GP needs shooting for one thing. He sounds an awful lot like the GP's at the surgery we left just over four years ago.  He's in it just for the money and not because he cares about his patient's health which he obviously does not.  I hope that something can be sorted soon Stroppy and sending you some gentle hugs.

Can't stop long as I am nowhere near ready for going out,  Mind you, I've still plenty of time.

Good morning!

it's all happening here! 

I've got men out the front and the back, pneumatic drills, diggers noise everywhere.

I had my son in law here 'till gone eleven last night putting in a new dishwasher and I've got the contents of my under sink cupboards on the side and in a crate on the floor waiting for a new sink to go in!

They're digging out and repointing the patio along the back...

and the drive will be block paved.
