We didnt get any rain this afternoon although it was forecast for us. There's a bit of an autumnal nip in the air on a morning now; I like all the seasons, but especially Autumn.

I thought that it felt on the autumnal side earlier on.  The only one of the seasons I don't like is winter.  There is one good thing about winter though and that is it is easier to sleep as it's obviously not too hot.

I am so looking forward to the cold nights I hate not being able to sleep with having to get up early I only end up getting 2 - 3 hours sleep.

We're of the same opinion Maggie.  If the weather's bad, there's no way we can get off the estate in the car.  Even walking round to the bus stop to go into town is a nightmare.  This is why we make certain that we always stock up well from the end of October or the beginning of November.

You could always get a home delivery Chris, most supermarkets do them now and I find them so useful.

Morning all.  It's looking rather grey here at the moment.  

My nextdoor neighbour very often can't get to work when the weather is bad.  He's an electrician and the firm he works for  send him all over the country.  The last bad winter we had, he was working in Derbyshire and he couldn't get there.

Hope you feel bit better ED!!!!!!!!!!!. The weathers miserable here today. It was chilly last night,,i had to put a fleece on over my suntop when i was watching t.v last night, and this morning was positively NIPPY!!!!!!!!!!!. Jackets out soon girls!!!!!!!!!!!!. I saw a man with a wooly hat on this morning ha ha LOL. Time to get Snuggly Buggly

It was really autumnal this morning when I went out.  It has warmed up a lot though and earlier on., it was lovely.  It's clouded over now though.  I did a bit of weeding in the front garden earlier and after I'd had a rest, I mowed the lawn.  I'm shattered now though.

evening darlings...does anyone else think that summer is coming to an end a little earlier than normal? some of my plants are giving up the ghost, but the fuschias are very late flowering this year?

I agree CB.  This morning, it felt very autumnal here.  Some of our plants have died off in the front garden.  We've got a fuchsia in the front garden which has been a bit slow.  I dread winter coming.  I think it's the worst time of year.  I hate to say it but I think that we've had our summer now.
