Removing Hair Dye

Male friend came round and dyed his grey hair in my bathroom

I ended up with hair dye on the bath, the sink, the floor, the walls and the door.

I have managed to remove it from the sink, bath and tiles

Any idea how I can get it off of the painted wood door and skirting board?

Or am going to have to paint over it?

Sorry but I think you will have to paint over it, at least it isn't on the carpet. the trouble is with dye you don't really notice it until it has set the colour and by then it is too late.

Two thoughts:

Maybe try a bit of white spirit on the marks.

Call your local hairdressers and ask them what they suggest you could use.

If all else fails ask your friend to come back with some paint and a paint brush!

Thank you for the suggestions.

Just looked in the cleaning cupboard and found a box of Magic Eraser.

Worth a try, and it worked.

Had to give it a good rub though, but it has all come off now.

It is supposed to work on any surface, so maybe worth a try on your cork tiles.

Those magic erasers are really GOOD they clean everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Ive been using them at work on walls and door scuff marks.

I used one yesterday in my back room where the dogs come in from their walk, on the woodwork and walls and they came up like new, great invention.
