icame late to  his books,  read 4 in about 2 weeks

he could make you laugh and cry within minutes

Loved his cat books.  Remember laughing so much over The Cat Who Came in From the Cold.

Like you towery once I discovered him I read all his books one after another.

I've not read any of his books so will have to rectify that.

I loved the TV version of Lost For Words with Pete Postlethwaite and Thora Hird, it was so moving, it had me laughing and crying all at the same time.
