Re: Pets with Christmas spirit

They are so cute Pat.  We used to have a dog who loved Christmas.  We used to wrap his presents up and put them under the tree.  He'd stand guard on the tree.  Eventually, things got the better of him and he'd dive into the tree.  It used to take us a while to separate dog from tree.  We'd always buy him at least one toy.  The toy went everywhere with him for days.

Re: Pets with Christmas spirit

Thanks Merc. 🙂 She is a very happy dog.. 🙂 The tumors don't seem to be growing very fast so hoping we have some good times. She seems happy enough. I have her on a bit of a diet. She seems to put on weight just smelling food, like her mum. LOL Brian takes her on long walks, but it doesn't seem to shift any weight. We will go back to the vets in the new year to see what we can do for her weight and possibly another test for Cushings. The last test was inconclusive so we are no where nearer to knowing anything. Since my feeding her fruit and veg(only a little) her coat is in such lovely condition and lovely silky and shiny and growing!!! It isn't the same dog when she first arrived.

Awwwww Books how sweet. 🙂 Yes, all three have pressies here. I have yet to wrap them. We took Roxie into the pet shop yesterday to buy Jingles a present..... only she was norty and had to go sit in the car with dad...... she was barking at the bunnies. LOL Poor bunnies. I have her some Christmas bones, dentastix and a new toy too. 🙂  Jingles has a new toy from Roxie and some of his very fav cat food. And Popcorn has made out like a little bandit..... He has a new cricket house filled with lovely crickets and some little locust and a whole bottle of Aveeno body wash. LOL Did I say they were spoiled? Cat Embarassed

Re: Pets with Christmas spirit

Lovely animals ladies, not like my two, wouldn't keep a hat on, no point putting anything under the tree it would be opened in 10 seconds flat, right pair of hooligans they work together to get up to all sorts of mischief, one being 2 and the other being nearly 11, the older one stands guard, and then disapears when he hears one of us coming.

Re: Pets with Christmas spirit

Ed, sounds like he is very wise. 🙂 Latelly the cat has been getting Roxie into trouble. He tells her when he is done eating and she goes over and pinches the rest of his food. He only likes fresh food so this works out great for him.... And he will sit in front of the fridge wanting more food.

Re: Pets with Christmas spirit

Thanks Rose. 🙂 He is an African Pygmy Hedgehog. Although I do look after wild ones here too. He isn't one that can go out here he would die. He was bred to be a pet and wouldn't survive. I have to make sure he doesn't hibernate too as it could cause him health problems too. He is a pampered hedgehog. 🙂

Re: Pets with Christmas spirit

Merlin, he lets me do most things to him. LOL I even brush his teeth and can clip his nails with out having to wear gauntlets. Now the Dog and the hedgehog are two totally different stories.

Re: Pets with Christmas spirit

Merlin, you just need a big enough stick and beat them hard enough!!     That's what I do with Lottie!!

Well. the look on her face might make you think that, she was only co-operating because she knew I'd got treats out of the bag!!  Smiley Very Happy
