Just had one from the A**n lady....OMG:O one little spray and I smell like that Raid stuff that kills flies:^O
trouble is, I can't wash it off:_| it won't go!!!! gawd, it sure pongs....
OH burst out laughing when he smelt it...seems he doesn't think I'll have any trouble with flies tonight!!!

Me too CB, something in my skin turns perfume acrid:(
Years ago before we wed hubby wanted to buy me chanel 5 :_| tried it on and we were both nearly sick:(
I have to use body lotion if any, then hubby goes around sneezing his head off:( I just cant win!
Try rubbing a slice of lemon over the perfume area, it might calm it a little:^O

My mum had that problem & always wore Diorissimo as it didn't go funny on her. It was a beautiful scent too.:-)

:^O at CB.
Neither my mum or I use perfume as they affect my mum's chest. I might sneak a little bit on sometimes but I stress it is only a little bit.

Years ago I was walking through the perfume department of a big store when I was
literally pounced on and sprayed by the assistant who said "That's Joy. its the most expensive perfume in the world (at that time) Blah Blah Blah" I smiled and went about my shopping.
But as you ladies have said, it reacted with my skin and smelt rancid. I had to return through her department to get to the car-park, so I made a point of searching her out. I held my arm out for her to smell and said "Don't think so much of your perfume now!"
She literally wrinkled her nose up and had the courtesy to say" I wouldn't have believed that if I hadn't smelt it myself!"
Like you all I have a few that I can wear and just tend to stick to them!

You can also spray perfume on your hair as it is porous and will keep the smell.
All Av*n perfumes smell the same to me and go horrid on me also.
I use the original Givenchy, Blue square top, was discontinued a few years back but then I have been able to get some more.
Did you all know perfume must be stored in the dark (box is ok) and in a cool place (ie, not the windowsill ). I have has Givenchy for years without it spoiling (bought a job lot when it was discontinued). I keep it in a drawer .
I used to use Sleepy Lagoon years ago (Impulse) before they "improved" it and changed the smell........just thought. .........I was 16..........it was 50 years ago LOL

I have the same problem, all perfumes seem to smell like cat pee on me 😞 All apart from Charlie Red, which I love. I have tried Charlie Pink and Charlie Blue, but they change, it is only the Charlie Red that stays as it should, all very strange!

I adore perfume but have to be a bit careful now at Hay Fever time although i do not suffer at all as i used too. I keep buying samples on here. I love Calvin Klein and summery beachy fruity fragrances yum yum. I do like Avon as the perfume smells lighter and do not have any problems with it. Some of their bath products irritate though. :-x
