Paperwhite Help Please?

Anyone got a Kindle Paperwhite?

I am trying to be organised for my hols and put some knitting patterns on mine.

Created a new folder and connected to lappy.

Copied patterns into folder.

Patterns show in folder on lappy.

Look on Kindle - no folder and no patterns.

Have rebooted, made a new collection, connected and disconnected.

Any thoughts?

You should be able to open your Word files, then Save As, and choose PDF from the drop down selection of various iterations of Word, Rich Text file etc.

I'm afraid I don't seem to have that option,

Have managed to email a Word file and open it on my Kindle.

The only way that I have managed to get documents on to my paperwhite is to email them to the kindle email account.

There is probably some sort of free program that you can download from the internet to convert word files to pdf. The newer versions of word do let you save documents in pdf format, it all depends how old your version of word is.

You may be able to print word files, scan them, and save them from the scanner as a pdf - it's a bit long winded though.
