Hubby has hurt his shoulder (shoveling manure) this morning, pulled a muscle or something, and somebody told him to rub arnica gel on. Has anybody used it? Is it worth buying some? Does it work? Thank you.

Hi Arnica was mainly used for bruising, but also as a pain relief, haven't used it myself but worth a try as it's a herbal remedy, I always carry Transvasin ( sorry if I've spelt it wrong) for muscle pain as it doesn't seem to burn like some!.

Ibuprofen Gel? It's what I use.

Thanks for the replies. He had to go out anyway right next to a chemist so he'll either decide to get some or he won't. We have that Gel Maggie but he won't use it. It's only recently he's started to take ibuprofen at all and that's only because he has to.

When this is better he'll be lifting heavy boxes or something and do something else. He won't not do it!
