Sorry if they are blurred, she hardly stops!!! LOL This is little Roxie. 🙂 I was finally able to talk Brian into letting me get a dog. She came from a local rescue and is 8 years old. She is a Pomeranian and Pappillon cross. And is the sweetest cleverest loveliest little dog I have ever met. All she wants to do is please us and go for walkies. LOL The cat still isn't sure of her yet, but he is getting better. It is all new for them both so we will have a few spats I expect, but we will get there. 🙂 She has recently been spayed so we are off on Monday to get her stitches removed and her vaccinations. 🙂 I have already been out doggy shopping here and online. LOL Brian won't let me buy her any little t-shirts though. LOL I think she would be too hot anyway in them. 🙂

Thanks everyone. 🙂
Merc, I am lucky as I never had a dog so well behaved and trained. She is a little dream. 🙂

So pleased to hear about your new family member! When we got our dog, our cat sulked for three weeks, and this is not unusual. With supervised meetings they got used to each other, and are now friends (sort of!).
I hope you have a lot of happy years with her.

Thanks everyone. 🙂 She is still lovely. 🙂 Day 2 and she is settling in much better.
Thanks Vamo48, When I first moved here to live with Brian his cat McTavish hid under the bed for 3 weeks. Then all of a sudden he decided I wasn't so bad, came out, said his name was Ralph and that was it. We were best of mates from then on. It broke my heart when he had to be put to sleep.
Jingles is doing much better with it all than I first anticipated. And hissing is being kept a minimum. What is good is Jingles can get up on top of things where Roxie can't get up to. She just has tiny little legs and doesn't even get up on furniture unless you give her a helping hand. So they both have areas away from each other, but can be together too.

Sounds like they will all be good friends eventually Pat , how is Roxy taking to to hoggies she looks very interested in the second pic 😄

PCC, she doesn't seem to be too bothered by the hogs, although little Bluebell sure didn't take to her. The night I introduced them it took me awhile before Bluebell opend up for me to give her her meds. I have found I have to wash the doggy smell off my hands before handling her. She is doing much better now and gaining weight!!! YEAH! Not sure if I had mentioned her here. I found her laying out in the sun one day. And brought her in. We released her back in the autumn and she was over 800 grams. That day I picked her up she was around 400 and went down to 350. I took her to the vets thinking we were going to end up putting her to sleep because she was paralyzed in her back legs. The vet checked her over and couldn't find a break. So gave me some meds and with the meds I had here with the vets approval, I have been treating her for parasites and malnutrition. I don't know what happened to her to get her in such a state. But the good news is today she is 565 grams and walking with her back legs. 🙂 And fiesty!! 🙂 So on the road to recovery.
The hogs in the pens will be going on Monday so won't be around much longer. Roxie when they are out doesn't seem fussed with them at all. She likes to follow Brian around or me. LOL And prefers we are both in her sight if possible. LOL Which at the moment Brian is out side with her and I should go and join them or she will be worrying. LOL

She is settling in more and calming down alot more than that first day. We are trying to set up a routine now and regular walkies. 🙂 The cat is getting better and this morning they were almost nose to nose. 🙂 We will get there.

I love this photo of her. I tried her coat on the day before and got it all bassackwards. LOL I had it on like a super vampire type of style.LOL I don't think she was really amused with it. I was laughing so hard I almost needed to change clothes. She sat down and wouldn't budge at all!!! I wish I had taken a photo of that. I was modeling it on her to show folks my mistake and I caught this photo.
Here she is as vampire dog. LOL
