Oh dear!

I ordered a phone. It said it should be here by Wednesday.  Wednesday, no phone.  Thursday, no phone.  Friday, no phone.  I 'contacted seller' and very nicely asked when they thought I might receive my phone? and I got an email saying I've 'opened a case against them'  I didn't want to do that, I've never done that before, I just wanted to let them know I was still waiting.  Oh dear, what have I done???  Smiley Sad

its the way that the new system  works,  its a case not a dispute

 

 

dont do anything until you hear from your seller

 

 

in  future cases/enquiry you need to find the  'other' section  to just send a message about whether an item has been sent

There isn't a tracking number, no.  Well if you say it's the way it is now, that's ok.  I just didn't want to come over as 'reporting them' without first just nicely informing them.  I'm not an agressive person.  Thanks towery. Smiley Happy

Oh dear!

The new 'improved' system opens cases when you send a message using 'item not received' or ' item is not as described' - they don't count against sellers unless you escalate.

 

However it is causing some tension between buyers and seller who are not aware of the changes. Smiley Sad

 

trouble is some sellers now assume that anyone who uses 'other' is a scammer Smiley Frustrated

I had two last week that I felt quite upset about but realise now the reason. I hadn't known of the change in polocy.

i think its the wording that  is the annoyance

 

 

'blah blah has opened a case'  whereas '  blah blah has a Query'  wouldnt get  hackles up so  much

 

as so often the changes make more problems than they should

Oh dear!

No!!!   OK so I'm a dinosaur getting dragged, kicking and screaming into the age of technology, but I only sent my first text two weeks ago!!!  The fact that it didn't go to my grandson, who was supposed to be the recipient, and it went not only to his mum but his uncle too, was just a glitch!!  I thought if I had a phone with bigger letters, I might get on better.  This new one was the princely sum of...........................................................£10!!!   LOL

Come and sit with me, I've just done the same thing!

I ordered a dress for my daughter due here on the 31st July, so I clicked on options including, if you haven't received the item by 1st Aug contact seller, so I clicked on the link and asked if the dress had been sent and I too was informed I had opened a case:(

 

It wouldn't normally matter but she needs it to take away with her next week.

It's a bit violent isn't it, when all you want to do is ask a simple question.  I don't think you can expect them to be polite back if it seems you are being rude to them.  They ought to change it back to how it was!!

No dress here either which may mean a last minute shopping trip to get a dress. My daughter (and son) is away in Scotland this weekend doing the UK and Ireland Target archery competition, back on Monday and then she's off back to Scotland on Thursday as part of the junior Welsh team in a Junior Euronations field archery competition and she has to wear a red dress with a Welsh scarf to the official dinner!

 

She's had a dress from this seller before and that arrived very quickly so looks like this one is lost in the post. I did buy a different one first and she didn't like it so I sent it back! Typical really if I'd kept it she'd probably have 2 rather than none now.

Did exactly the same this morning just wanted to know where an item was ,they seem to have changed stuff and forgot to tell everyone

I do like the simpler payment system though.

my seller has replied and is sending another dress out - didn't seem too bothered by the 'case' but is a shop seller so probably knows that this is the way things are now done.
