not only the families festive period but yours also so make sure all concerned muck in and help. Be it helping carry the shopping, helping prepare the food, washing and drying dishes anything at all.
Do not let it all fall on your lovely shoulders as you must have time to relax and enjoy the time together.
I myself prepare our dinner and part cook it Christmas eve then finish it Christmas day as my wife does most of the cooking the rest of the year so I believe she should have the full day to relax on Christmas day.
So ladies enjoy your festive period and make sure you have some relax time and lots of help.

Well ladies over the year when I can I fill up at either T*sco or M*rris*ns and save the vouchers for the year. M*rris*ns for Christmas and T*sco for summer holidays in the caravan. So last weekend of November I am off to do the Christmas food shop using the M*rrisons vouchers which amounts to £65 so that will be £65 that my wife does not need to spend out of the housekeeping money. Hope she will be happy with this as it is down a bit this year because I have not been able to use those petrol stations all the time. At least it is better than nothing I suppose.

What a lovely gentleman RC is.
I am lucking - when I have Sunday lunch (and indeed Christmas dinner) down at my friends I prepare the veg at my house and he prepares the chicken and does the yorkshire pudding and we jointly cook the meal and dish the food out.
After the meal then I take myself off into the lounge and let his two boys and my son to do the washing up, drying up and putting away. I feel that that is only fair. The three boys have a good time as they chat away as they do the work. Sometimes it takes ten times as long to get the work done though. Better that they do the work and chat than take themselves off onto their computers.
After the main meal be it Sunday lunch or Christmas dinner, then we have a cup of "proper" coffee and always an hours walk down the woods with the dog.
RC....you are welcome at mine anytime you want 🙂

I too am going to print the first post out and pin it on the wall. OH washes up twice a year that is Christmas day and Boxing day.
Son just about manages to help then as well.
Do you rent yourself out RC

I think we need RC to teach our hubbies a thing or two. 🙂 Actually Brian does do some cleaning around here and will do the bathroom. And washing up. But all the rest is up to me. He will do any last minute shops or postings for me. And he does help muck out the hoggies with me everyday.

Mine was very good & always hoovered & washed up.

My hubby has never ever ever ever vacuumed, dusted, used the washer, cooked a meal, cleaned a toilet, or changed a nappy. I used to do all the painting and papering too. But he's always worked and I haven't. I could have a cleaner at any time but it's only since my operation that I've finally got one..

I must own up & say mine will wash up .... he'll also clean the loo & sometime peel the veg.
As for duster or the hoover ...... I don't think he knows they exist

This is not on the same theme but just a timely reminder when out shopping to watch your purse; it's the ideal time of year for pickpockets.
