I know someone put the thread about Clootie Dumpling and it made me think of something. Im sure it was on Ade Edmunsons programme when he went round all the different towns and cities in the u.k and talked about traditions and music and food. It was in one of the Northern places and he was talking about a sweet they made a bit like a Nougat that you mixed a whole lot of things together into one block and they called it something and i cannot remember what its name was. It was traditional to the area he was in.
Can anyone think what it might be?. I suppose i could have looked back at programmes but i cannot remember which one it would have been in. Any ideas and Northern lads or lasses?. If its not North i apologize.

If you use a fruit T bag and leave it to steep longer you can cut down on the sugar content, fruit steeped in tea brings out the natural sugars in the fruit.

I was born and brought up in Yorkshire for 18 years but never heard of Yorkshire brack.
I have made a very similar cake to this a few times though for my daughter who doesn't eat any fat, as this recipe has no marge or butter in.
