Need your help please :)

It's been a while since I was here, been very busy with Rescue work & fosters.  I know you lot are brilliant at pulling together & helping when it's needed & right now these dogs need your help.

Whatever your thoughts are on foreign dogs, these guys need your help now.  This is happening right now. They are dying right now, There are Rescuers standing outside the shelter right now, they are being denied entry.  Please please please read the blog, send a message, everything you need is on the link including messages to copy & paste in English & Romanian.  Share the link, tell everyone.  Don't let these inhuman monsters get away with this. People from this Rescue are flying out from the Uk on Sunday to challenge the authorities & Mayor. This Rescue works tirelessly to rehome dogs & runs a spay/neuter program in Romania. Please please help them.

Video of a puppy they managed to get out this morning, it took the Rescuers 2 1/2 hours of negotiations, all the while the pup was screaming in agony. He didn't make it.

I have signed. This is a huge problem. Many are just beyond rescue. I wish there was a more humane way of dealing with their problem.

Thank you for signing.  Some of the dogs are beyond help through abuse & illness, but even then they should be allowed help & a dignified pain free end.  Most though could be saved, given new chances & found new lives.

They don't deserve to be tied up in plastic bags while still alive.

not wanting to teach my granny how to suck eggs,

would it be worth contacting many tears ( south wales ) as she may be willing to put info on her website, it could reach more doggie people.

I know she has taken in the occasional dog from overseas, and may be willing to rehome if any/some that get out of the country ?

Thank you to everyone who signed the petition. they wanted to get to 7000 & they've almost got 2000 more than that 😄  The petition will be handed over personally to the Mayor by the Rescue on Monday.

Shonafp - Thank you for your suggestion, Many Tears are a brilliant Rescue, we have a dog from them 🙂   The Rescues involved with this situation though are the best ones for the job, they have a long history of dealing with Romanian dogs & the Romanian shelters & rehome in the Uk on a regular basis. They do some amazing work in Romania, Croatia & Thailand working with the people, running spay & neuter programs for the strays as well as finding them homes.
