Nearly a disaster!

My sister is away for her annual 2 week holiday, she left Monday afternoon.

Last night , my son and I went round to feed her 2 cats.

We went to the back door as that is the only key I have. unlocked the door,

but  it would not open. Either she or her parter has locked the safety bolt at the

top and we couldn't get in.

Cue a big rethink and a visit to the supermarket where I bought

wet & dry cat food, bowls and bottled water.

Filled the bowls and "posted" them through the cat flap.

Will have to take wipes to clean the bowls before refilling them.Just hope the cats don't

move the bowls outwith my reach!

Its going to be a long 2 weeks, my car is now a mobile cat feeding station!

If it weren't for the cat-flap I don't know what we would have done!

Her cats were looking at us as if we were daft!

Re: Nearly a disaster!

Best not use wipes, unless you mean to rinse the bowls very well - the chemicals in them may be poisonous to cats, even if they are "baby" wipes.  Just scrubbing with wet kitchen paper and rinsing off with water should be ok.

Re: Nearly a disaster!

Sorry to post and run, but we lost our broadband last night.

Went to feed them last night and all was well!

Will take water and kitchen roll rather than baby wipes.

I did think that if they had moved the bowls I could get disposable paper ones and use fresh.

Could you imagine her kitchen with 28 bowls all round it!

But they hadn't moved them so that was good!

Re: Nearly a disaster!

Lucky about the cat-flap Woman Happy

Cats are pretty sensible about their dishes not like dogs who move them about !

I have a food tower so my cat can get dried food anyttime , its takes a whole box at a time so easily lasts a weekend away Smiley Happy

Re: Nearly a disaster!

The "girls" taken through the rain spattered back door. The empty dishes on the worktop are their usual bowls, the new ones are on the floor!

Re: Nearly a disaster!

Those cats have very demonic eyes.

Are you sure they didn't 'bolt' the back door by some magical means to do their wikid workings whilst the owners are away?

Who is expected for dinner with the table laid out?

Re: Nearly a disaster!

Maybe they want to be served at the table!

Had to use the flash as I was outside and they were inside, hence the possessed eyes! lol
