I'm not sure when its the right time for mowing and pruning

when you cant see the wood for the trees  is usually a good sign things need  trimming back

The older you get the less foliage needs pruning! Silver foliage is rather attractive in the garden! 😉

Well that was a task in itself. I found the wood eventually, strange looking thing really. I agree the silver sort of gives it a sparkle, you know like tinsel
