Just to warn you all to take care and check on reviews before ordering online from certain shops. I know I can't name the shop, but it's a well known one, advertises 3 to 5 days for standard delivery, then tells you they will email when they despatch your goods, couple of weeks later still no advice of despatch, no reply from customer services, paid via PayPal and they take the money as soon as you order. I didn't look at the reviews of this shop until it was too late, but there are hundreds of complaints, this is scary but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will get the goods eventually as I can't afford to lose that sort of money. Maybe they should stop advertising on TVs using a "celebrity" telling you to watch the video and use the money spent on the advert to upgrade customer service. Rant over!

Once the estimated delivery date is reached, open an appropriate case which will ensure that you get a response from them ...

It's not eBay, it's a big high street store that does internet selling as well via a very glossy looking website. I. Have used PayPal so hope that will cover me somehow if the goods don't arrive, but will it get sorted out before christmas

I love a quiz. Is it the shop that starts with M and ends with N.

Yes, it starts with m ends with n and is number 76 on the list! I will never use them again, and I WILL get my goods or money back, not prepared to accept their bad service

I used to buy a lot from number 76 as I never had any interest in fashion and they were cheap. In fact I got the nickname M_____n Man.
I haven't shopped there for years, mainly because there was no store where I used to live and have never used their online service.
I've moved house now and visited their nearby store very recently; the stuff they now sell is not just cheap in price, but cheap in quality. I didn't buy anything, but got a pair of jeans from A__a Price instead.
The issue with many of these stores now is they tend to compete solely on price, which lowers the quality of materials and cut/design of garments and other products. There is also this continuing drive of cutting backroom staff in all organisations to save money and overheads, but if it goes too far it tends to have a negative affect on customer service and delivery of service.
Another factor on cost cutting is staff wages, if they're low they will not be competitve in the employment marketplace and so will not always attract the best candidates, hence mulitplying the affect of poor service. We are once again seeing more of the cost cutting now due to the value of GBP and so next year may be even worse.
