They soon grow up Ninga & will go potty for a catnip mouse....go on, you know you want it! lol
Basic rules for MDCC are:
MDCC runs for 7 days starting on the last Sunday of each month (excluding December) and sellers are invited to list up to 5 fun auctions to raise money for their favorite charity or good cause mention the charity you are sending the money to & include MDCC in the auction title so people can find your stuff. Easy! Most sellers do this as a normal auction & don't involve Mission Fish who take a cut. You just send the money collected to your charity at the end. If your buyers are regulars they will ask for your PP address so they can gift you the money to avoid PP fees.
You are welcome to copy any of the bumph of another MDCC auction to use on yours.
All are welcome to join in.
Any more questions please ask.

The first Peg Bag finishes in ten minutes.

First one has goen....three to go! Get bidding!
04-08-2013 12:46 PM
Oh dear, we aren't doing very well and only a few minutes to go for 3 un-bidded-on items!
If you like starfishes, sparkley things, chinese-style things, or lobbing paint at your mates please have a look at our bargains! And dont forget Splodgums listings ( yes, thats me in my Other Hat, but I am still doing the computery and for the charity account )
Every penny supports orphans, last week we sent hospital fees for a child with malaria. The doctor emailed to thank us and said the child could have died without treatment, as there were complications.
So a massive thank you to everyone who has supported our auctions. You really are making a difference.

R&R.

Thank you Patch, I won't be using Missionfish as I don't think LCH are registered with them and I would rather they got the whole amount, I will cover the ebay/PP fees myself. Just need to get organised for this months and tackle the pile in the craft/spare room.
If I do not reappear in a few days send a search party

Next one is Sunday August 25th & is Bank Holiday weekend.

I put my Days for Girls things on for Free postage & made a loss on all but one of them. I won't do that again. I thought people might bid more if it was free postage but I was wrong. My fairy doll is going the same way by the looks of it.

Patch - the problem with doing that is that people can only bid as high as the previous bid plus whatever the next fixed increment is.
I might be happy to pay £10 for something but if no-one else bids then I'm going to get the item for say 99pence start price regardless of whether p&p is free or £5.00.
Is it just me, or do the 'view listing's links on the left hand side not work for all the ID's?
Your's does Patch although it takes me to .com ( not co.uk)
I know catknitter and splodgums both had items on MDCC but clicking on 'view listings' took me to an empty page as though they had nothing for sale.
04-08-2013 5:53 PM
It's a glitch they are aware of & are trying to sort out. It takes you to the .com site so it looks like you have nothing listed!
My buyers for all my Days for Girls things were all non MDCC people so it was my own fault for doing free postage & I had to pay the PP fees too! At least Chaldon did well from the Peg Bags that Twishy made.

Thanks Patch.
I hope they sort it sharpish, it can't be good for business.
I frequently link from there to see what's on offer and just assumed various posters/sellers had nothing for sale at the moment.
Wonder how many others have done the same.
I knew postal costs had gone up but I've not had to send anything other than 'normal' mail for ages.
Bought my sister a pack of 5 decorating face masks and posted them to her.
Absolutely no weight in them but were a bit bulky because of the shape.
Masks cost me less than £3 postage was over £5.
And they wonder why they're losing money hand over fist?!
Annoying and expensive for you though, having to cover both costs.

Patch have you considered using one of the cheap couriers? We use Hermes for the business and so far ( touches wood ) we have had only one issue. Customer claiming not received ( not from ebay sale ) until I pointed out it was tracked and told him when he had signed for it 🙂

I would like to thank all my bidders & buyers ( & for the extra pennies - you know who you are
I still have a couple of payments to come through, but will keep you updated.
