Is it me or have other people had an experience like this. I have a little part time job i have been there for four years now and had really no complaints about my work, everyone has praised me. Its a big place i clean in and really enough for two, but i do it alone. I go in this morning and some new bigwig for the company has come in complaining and saying about things that should be done. Nitpicking about everything, and its not just me i found other people in different jobs have had the same new man going around being a Jobsworth!!!. I completely lost it and have made myself ill this morning getting upset and angry when i work so hard in the time that i have. I know this must happen in all companies when new people come in they just have to go around and make it be seen that they are doing their job!!!!. I suppose i should not take it personally but i have. Has this happened to others out there?.
ooooh yes! I know exactly how you feel, please don't take it personally, no one but you will be upset and the company isn't worth it. If they don't like it they can find someone else. Do you have a manager you can talk to? just tell them you work to your full capacity and if they say there are things that need doing then you will have to drop some tasks and do the others....simple!
It's happening in all places now, people are being pushed to the end of their tether by having to do more than one person's job. I think it's good you lost it, now they will realise you are not a machine.

don't let it worry you, just be calm now, see your manager and see it as part of the rich tapestry of life....hahahahahahaa ready to thump me now???
I think that's happening in virtually all jobs. People leave & don't get replaced. We've lost 2.5 out of 15 this year (1 went part-time, 1 is on a 'career break' & 1 has gone to a different borough) but that powers that be still want the same work & more done
Thank you all. My boss phoned and said my work is fine . There is a new Bigwig coming around throwing his weight around to try and make himself look good apparently. The person that told me about it rather than go through my boss first is a Mrs i will do anything for the company, bend over backwards!!! madam!!!!. LOL. I think she wants to realize that she is a number just like all of us ( yes you are right). Half the stuff he told them i should be doing my boss did not agree anyway and said some things were pointless to keep doing!!!. My place of work is very big for one person and he said i work hard!!!. Thats all i am going to worry about.
Yes all companies are doing it now , even getting bosses to do some of the dirty work cleaning and such. And having fewer staff do do a lot of work. it has all changed since i was younger and in the retail trade. Even there its all different now.
Thank you Ed yes. I tend to lose it as im very proud of my cleaning and have had to leave one job as my so called friends were acting dispicably towards me. Im cleaning on my own but would rather it that way instead of working with bickering so called ladies. LOL.
I know everone suffers in the job cuts and we must go with change as it is inevitable.
