Just wondering what you fellow FHG's are up to today - ought or nought?
I will be cycling down to my friends house shortly to have Sunday lunch. After that we usually chill out for an hour with a nice cup of "proper" coffee and read then after lunch has settled we take the dog out down to the local "common". This walk takes us through two small woods - which are lovely when the sun is out because they are nice and shady....and very healthy breathing in all that oxygen from the trees. I always come back from this walk feeling invigorated. This walk normally takes about one and a quarter hours, then I cycle back home. Sunday is definitely the day when I get a lot of exercise! Once home I will chill out for a while before the arrival of teenager from his dad's....all ready for the week ahead.
so.............what have you got planned?

If I can summon up enough energy I might start work on a Xmas card order, then again I might knit kittie blankets

That sounds like a lovely day!
I have 2 washings out so looking forward to a load of ironing and
making sure uniforms are ready for tomorrow.
May try and fit in a wee trip to the local auction house which has a viewing day today
then tonight I will be watching antiques roadshow with a little bit of knitting.
Pretty boring when you write it out, want to sway tintin? LOL

Nothing exciting
After having a full house for ages, its just me n OH & it feels weird & I don't like it, its too quiet
Youngest went back to Uni a few days ago so I'm going up to strip his bed & have a bit of a clean around, other son & his little family who live with us are away for a while at their new flat taking delivery of furniture over the next few days so i don't need to cook a big dinner, I'm really just doing bits & pieces that I have been putting off doing while there is no one about, will have a walk up to the cemetery later & pop round to see my sister, then I will be having a play with my new puddy cat & try to tire her out so she doesn't try to "help" me with my knitting when I sit down
It still seems strange having a cat that wants to play

Bussed over to Ealing this morning so hubby could open a new account and we did some shopping for new holiday clothes & a food stock up in M&S. Then to our favourite Nepalese restaurant as they have a sunday buffet deal and a black cab home in time to watch the Tottenham/Arsenal game. Going to have just an M&S pasty & pickle for tea as we had a large lunch.

This is what I like to do on a Sunday afternoon.

Been gardening, and then walked up the lane and picked pounds and pounds of blackberries which are simmering gently to make Bramble Jelly. Saw masses of butterflies, brimstones, small copper, wall, meadow brown, red admirals and a holly blue.
Lots of Elephant Hawk Moth caterpillers in the garden, the cat keeps bringing them in too, unharmed - he's too soft to kill anything, just brings it an and lets them go, rabbits, a pheasant, a magpie, jackdaws, mice, shrews and voles.
Just thinking about getting some food ready (mushroom risotto and salad followed by home made chocolate fudge cake and vanilla ice cream) then ironing ready for work tomorrow.

Hubby an I ha an outing to Suffolk, on a little boat from Orford to
Havengate Island which is an RSPB reserve. We saw loads
of birds including avocets, and also hares, as well as having
a nice walk and picnic.
A lovely day, it was our anniversary outing which is on
Wednesday - 31 years!

I collected my dog from the vet, she had been in there since Thursday and had been very ill, in fact at one point we thought we might lose her. It's great having her home again although she is still rather delicate. I then got up every hour through the night to make sure she was ok so think I need an early night tonight!

aaww I'm glad the dog is better even if she is recovering slowly, I bet she gets that look when you ask her if she's alright, bless her.
Fishy, wow that sounded lovely, congratulations for your anniversary hope you have many more happy years together xxxx
we haven't done anything spectacular this weekend, our two days off have flown by as usual....

Glad you had a nice day Fishie. There's a town near where I live called Warrington which has a district called Orford. I bet it's not as nice as the Orford you went to though. A friend of mine used to call the Warrington Orford as Awful Orford. I've seen worse areas though.
