I've got my winter duvet on but when it's cold, I always put a large crocheted blanket on as well. I don't like being too hot but I don't like being cold either.

HUBBY - nothing quite like a living hot water bottle(until the snoring starts!).
Now, remember the days when British Rail only turned the heting on in summer? Freezing cold day, Pines Express to manchester(from South coast). By Oxford the teeth were chattering, skin turning blue, only a few peeps in cariages, mostloy wrapped in 26 jumpers!. Get to Brum and a whole crowd of MAN U supporters got on(remember this was in the days when aLL footi supporters had a real bad rep). Well they got on and more got on. They squished us 3 to a seat, they sat on the tables, they filled the aisle and Oh boy was it warm - never has body heat been so much appreciated! LOL.

Hot water bottle and my longjohns, especially the latter during the day when out and about! !! Best from BHS. I'm too old to worry about how doddery they make me look. When I went sea fishing off Dover in January I wore two pairs! The thing is, if people are cold they'll put on a jumper, anorak, overcoat or whatever, and ignore their legs. A pair of longjohns are merely another pair of trousers. Either that, or newspaper (tucked into your socks, otherwise you'll fall over them). You see a wineo - he's never cold. He's too clued up. Never seen one with a cold either, for that matter. If you're cold in the house, kick your shoes off and sit in a sleeping bag if you have one - it stops the drafts. If your feet are cold, so are you.
