Now you all be good and cause plenty of hassle in those hospital beds.
Thanks for that bhgardeners. I feel better for that information.
Hope that CB has gone on alright today.

Hellooooooo darlings...I'm back, spent all day in the flippin' hospital
consultant was 2hrs behind in his schedule I thought I'd loose the will to live. But...good news, they will call for me in about 2wks they said, I can't believe I'm so relieved!
stand by yer beds, I should be off soon. BP was up a bit but not suprising considering all the waiting about and you know how nervous you get sat in there.
message to Stan.....can you boil some eggs for me?

Glad that you've got the go ahead CB. Fingers crossed that everything goes well. Our hospital isn't quite that bad. At least they do feed you - according to my mum that is.

@captainbovine wrote:aaawww thanks Stan, if it wasn't for you I'd have starved...they completely forgot to offer me food....22hrs after I'd started my nil by mouth
I know, only too well how that feels. You need to demand food - I found that waiting for them to "offer" just meant being hungry.
Hope you get your firm date soon and that all goes well.

I know that feeling too - that's the reason that I only ever order cheese and biscuits. You need to suss out which take-aways will deliver, make sure you have your mobile phone and plenty of credit.

Sheesh, you lot live in the backwoods? LOL
Our local hospital has a large self service cafe which patients, visitors, out patients etc are welcome to use(and pay for). Then there's the sandwich/coffee shop and the BK look alike. If you are in a real hurry and not fussy Smiths(WH) do a range of sandwiches and snacks. Chocolate is cheaper in the league of friends opposite. Food is dire but so long as you have a visitor or can make it to and from the lifts you won't starve but you may need a bank loan. Haven't been down there for a while but the cafe even had a book exchange shelf!

The choice of food at our hospital is good. When my mum's been in, she's had salad, salmon, shepherd's pie, fish chips and peas, spag bol to name but a few. We have a restaurant on the top floor of the hospital which can be used by staff, patients and visitors alike and the food's good. Obviously, you have to pay for it but it isn't too expensive. Mum's just reminded me that there's a good choice of puds as well such has cheese and biscuits, rhubarb crumble, trifle and fruit salad.
