How far back do you remember in FHG and the community spirit ...

I remember once (not sure who it was for), a lady in here with a very ill little boy (I think) whose only real contact with the outside world was her computer as she had her hands full looking after him.

She was having computer problems and was not sure how much longer she could stay in contact with her friends in here and everyone chipped in what they could afford to buy her a new computer to allow her to continue contact and have the support all her friends in here wanted her to have.

Now in my opinion that was the real community spirit of here that once was and when FHG lived up to its name of Family ! Some lovely, warm, kind, caring and generous people that stepped up when one of the community family needed help.

Real FAMILY.

There are lots of folks I miss. 

Just think of all the people that Elphaba helped - I know I turned to her for help for both myself and my husband and she came up trunks where the medical profession had failed xx

I'm amazed: I see myself as a newbie, but recognise immediately all the names & stories

i had so much fun on here over a low time in my life - & subsequently received a lot of online support & wisdom from people on here, when there were 'revelations' after my parents died

i wonder how Flying Spaghetti Monster is doing. Her OH was not well 🙁 & she had delightful children, I recall

awww thank-you yes I still do the special birthdays and Christmas parties at the lunch club, we are having a bit of a drive to try to recruit more oldies this year.

humm some names that spring to my mind are the lovely salmon, wickedy, chicken grama, cat knitter, mad Marie, not forgetting all the crew from the Cossack and madmabs. Cripes so many names and they all seem to be shelved in the recesses of my mind where I'm struggling to get to. Feline felon, bionic, welshy, Shelly, aye aye, cool to be a cat, cataquake, fuctivinopal, dougal, 

you could go on forever couldn't you.

OMG I've just had a little explore and the numpties hat group is still there with all the members in it. I could have swore I closed that  it's great looking over the threads and she paid £50.00 to howarth cats to keep the hat.

nobody has been in there for a long time. It is quite bizarre I would have thought all the groups would be shut and gone but they are all still there. Even my pirate ship one 🙂
