Feeling Deflated?.

Im feeling a bit deflated today after Christmas. I think many people feel like this,, a bit down after the celebrational season. Its all over until next year,,what was it all about sort of feeling. I have to think of a few things or treats to cheer myself up now!!.

Is anyone else having similar feelings?.

Nope not really Rose, it is great to be back to normal without all the hype and money grabbing, I always find it a bit of an anticlimax any way.

So back to normal is good, looking forward to my next week off now in February.

Giving the house a good spring clean over the next couple of days when I have finished putting the decs away.

I know what you mean Rose, but I think it's as ed says " a bit of an anti climax after the hype" I worked over the Hols ( my choice!) I have had a few days off & don't go back until Monday, I've cleaned the house from top to bottom, caught up with all the laundry etc, walked the Dogs until even they are fed up, the bottom line is I think , the weather , time of year, dark nights & mornings the excitement of Xmas. Roll on Spring I say so we can all feel better in our outlook on life. Sam.

We have had a lovely sunny day today the wind has dropped and it has been quite pleasant. All change again later I think, Lounge looks lovely, all shiney and clean, hall and stairs are clean and tidy too,  now bracing myself for the kitchen.

I'm glad to be back to normal now.  I think that once Christmas day has gone, it seems to drag then until 2nd January.  We'll be taking the rest of the deccies down over the next couple of days and then I can give the living room a good going over.

Rose......I know what you mean. I have been feeling a little sadder than normal. My friends boys have gone back to their mums so all is very quiet. Nothing worth watching on TV. Just back from a two hour walk with the dog. Felt I needed a long walk to tire me out and to work up an appetite. My son is at home but as he is 15 I am lucky to get even a grunt out of him LOL.

Remember - it takes 17 muscles to smile and 44 muscles to frown - SO KEEP SMILING 🙂

It may sound sad, but I am really looking forward to going back to work on Monday, getting a bit bored now.

Friday is our Christmas do ( we always have it in early January) -  there are only 10 of us and it's black tie, private diining room at a really nice hotel and the we stay overnight.  If I'm lucky I can get a couple of spa treatments in too beforehand.

Yes Sam, I can get in my spare room, just.   Only a load of washing and some stuff to go in the loft in there now.

I always feel down in January, the excitement of Christmas is over, I've had to pack up my beloved tree and wreath on the mantle, and it's grey and horrible outside.

But this year my time is taken up trying to move about hahahahaaa, so I don't feel quite as miserable this time.

oooh Carol...we are the same age, I'll be 59 in May.

How is your brother doing? that was such a shock for you. I hope he is slowly progressing.

Stroppy...you must really love your job, to be honest, I could give up right away, I like being home.

Yes, on balance I do love my job, and I really miss the company and conversation of intelligent adults.  I am bored at home. I also don't like being dependent on benefits and regarded as a scrounger.

Don't sit brooding Rose, get out & do your thing , I was married very young & am now 54, I start the new year in a new job & life, things will get better for you, you have bad days & good ones, today for me is bad , a bit of self doubt perhaps, but I know this if nothing else. It won't beat me.Sam. & on a lighter note I can still give you a run for your money Topless, so stop leading me astray ! LOL.

Yes we all have had good and bad times. I think i find myself being reflective at this time of year you know Sam. I have had a lot of  bad with things relationshipwise this year and am a bit sad about that. But i put an end to things that i had tried at but could not do anymore. It was making me ill and stressed. When someone is just a brick wall there is nothing you can do!!. You have not had it easy either byt he sound of things Sam.

So onward and upward into another year topless or not ha ha ha LOL.

That's the spirit Rose I'm sure there are many on this board who are in the same position, listen to their advice! & remember , Girl Power!! Something always turns up when you least expect it, sometimes you can look too hard. If I could find out how to get a smilie hug I'd send one. Err! It's a bit to cold for topless , I ain't taking me thermals off for awhile yet. LOL.
